What are y'all using to smooth the cut edge?

I just completed mine. Followed the procedure shown using a gloss black powder coated mesh sheet from Custom Car Grills. The 16" x 48" was more than enough to do all six sections.

The only tip I can add is before discarding the cut-out honeycomb bits, you can use it as a template to mark and bend the mesh. The aluminun mesh I used was easy to cut with snips, but tough to bend accurately. This template helps account for the curvature of the grille.

I just used a fine grade sand paper after de-burring the dremel cut. The edge are well hidden when mounted

There's always California Special grilles too. and get rid of the fang look with wide open.
