Differences between model year R’s?

Do the 2020 Rs have the screw point for the front tow hook, since they share the front core with the GT500? I know they don't have GT500's pop-off access panel on front bumper to allow for screw-in tow hook, but I seem to recall hearing that the screw point is there under the plastic bumper.

I still marvel that Ford made such an incredible track car and made no provision for attaching tow hooks without removing the bumpers, whereas most other cars just have the little pop-off panel. So dumb.

My 2020 non-R has the CF radiator support, if that's what's being referred to, but there is still not a threaded receiver in the crash bar for a tow hook. I had to put in my own.

Correct on the “R” tow hook receiver, its there, just no access panels. so stupid of Ford.

I own a high mileage (20,000+) as well, but mine has technology package. I always wondered what was behind that panel in the Base model R cars. Congrats and enjoy !

SO what you're saying is that I should start driving this 20? Might never get going on this 964 project - I forgot if I told you I bought an RS America, too.

I think before 19 they just offered a basic 9 speaker system with no sub woofer. No shaker or anything like that.

Well, I wouldn’t say to put miles on as a daily driver, but some track miles would be good

And congrats on the 964 RS America. Such awesome cars ! I worked with an ER doc here in Fort Lauderdale who bought his new back in the 1990s. Says he will never sell it

The 2020 Core Support has the 2 indentations at each end for the GT500 Hood Locks since the same part was used for both the 350 and 500.

I bought my 2017 because I liked the non red insert seats along with drilled rotors. I think the drilled rotors went away in 2018? Not completely sure.

Drilled went away after 18 I believe. Nice looking but not track worthy

I ordered my 2019 GT350 stock with no options. It was never intended as a daily driver. The standard sound system works well.

It was $61,535 MSRP less my discount.
