What would be the What would be the difference in weight between the base and premium ecoboost models? I cant find any information on the differences between the 2014 v6 and GT base and premium weights. Is the difference between the base and premium significant considering you get heated and cooled seats, a aluminum dash panel, and the shaker sound system in the premium?

Nobody really knows, cause ford hasn't released anything officially. Also premium doesn't come with the shaker sound unless you pick the 201A package vs 200A.

In the thread below, the weights of everything is discussed.

IIRC, it should be about 150 lbs between base/premium.

The regular shaker sound is standard on both the premium EB and GT. you get shaker pro w/ the 01a packages.

If you can wait for a while, get a premium that has the new upcoming sync. I can't say anything about what we've done, but since the sync guys are in my department just trust me, it'll be worth your time.

You didn't hear anything from me :D

And what qualifies as "a while"? We talking future model years here or a potential mid-stream upgrade for the '15 MY? If we're talking about future model years, I don't know if I can wait that long... :)

And I'm assuming the current ('15 MY) hardware will not be upgradeable to the new version?

I realize you can't be very specific at all, but any hints you can drop are appreciated.

Sorry but I can't drop any hints on changes, however it won't make the 15.

how bout this question if you can answer it.

Will it be able to be physically added to the 2015 aside from possibly being expensive?

Thanks. That tells me enough. I doubt I'm going to be able to wait another year or more to get in on an S550. May be something for others to look forward to who were already resigned to waiting though.

Yeah general rule of thumb is that if a fancy upgrade is not in an advertisement, it won't be make the car. Marketing loves to brag lol
