I just installed an MGW shifter on my MT82 but I haven't had a chance to actually test it out yet. Been getting a lot of other things done at the same time. Plan on getting the car put back together this weekend so I can report back if I think there's any additional NVH from the shifter or not. I can say though...the shifter feels amazing in comparison without even driving it yet.

It's not like the stock shifter isn't firmly attached to the box as well, you know. The MGW is a a no-brainer. It isn't all that tough to install and it will does everything it needs to do perfectly. I don't think it changed anything with respect to NVH, but the shifting is beautiful after about the first couple weeks. It's just a little tight to start, but when all the bearing get warmed up and cooled down a few times it settles in and turns the MT82 into a completely acceptable gearbox.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I been on the fence enough. I'm going to place my order now and take advantage of the black friday 10% off.
I'm going with the Xspec standard handle. I think that low profile will just be to dang short to my liking.

The X/high is on the verge of being too low, but the throw is nice. The standard low might be the sweet spot with it a little higher, but still not much of a throw. It's hard to say. Either is a ton better than stock. It just depends on you.

MGW Themselves are. From now till November 30th. I called them directly and placed my order over the phone. Excellent customer service!! With the 10% and 19 dollars for shipping it came to 468 ......Black friday sale. Enjoy!!!

Thanks. I now see they have the coupon code showing on the order page. Just tried to use it and it's says it's not valid. I guess I'll call them tomorrow or Monday.

Yes you have to call them and order or place your order online, then put in the notes section that they are to apply the 10% black friday discount. That is what was told to me but I chose to call instead and get the 10% right away then give them my credit card.

I have the xpec with stanadard handle, has 21% throw reduction. It sits lightly lower than stock.

I see you've already ordered but I think you'll love it. I was finally able to test mine out on street and at VIR this weekend. The shifter is just a joy to use. It feels very precise and I can shift quicker without any fuss and no hesitation going into any gear. Pushing down for reverse may take some getting used to.
As far as any NVH...some vibration does come in through the shifter itself but it doesn't seem to translate to any increased noise or vibration in the cabin. My car is a bit loud as-is and I did add a few other things that do add a little NVH, so YMMV.

I installed mine over the weekend as well. I really like the feel of it. No slop like the OEM shifter. It amazes me Ford would put so much effort into engineering something that cost over $50k and give you a shifter trans combo that is not their best work. Thanks to companies like MGW or Barton, we can make it better.
