This just started happening to me. I replaced the battery and now everything is back to normal.

I suspect a weak battery is what caused my dash to reset as I usually have the car on battery charger. When the car was at the dealer for a week, who knows how many times the car was started to move around the shop. I know I started the vehicle numerous times to move it around the garage the week after getting back from the dealer and that is when the dash reset occurred.
I will leave it off of the charger for a week and see what happens.

Mine has done something very similar two or three times now. My first clue is when I move the mode toggle, and MyMode is not available. In the instrument cluster MyMode menu, I then found that MyMode was not set. Curiously, not quite every setting was lost, though. MyColor was still saved. The shift indicator is another that was definitely cleared out and reset. Each time it took several minutes to go through every menu in the IC and check or set the values again.

I’ve never had a dead battery nor had the battery disconnected just before these events, so I have no explanation.

That's exactly what started happening to me. Replaced battery and all is good.
