Since everyone on here is into dashcams I thought I'd ask. I took my car for service the other day and the lot attendant said some funny stuff while driving my car. I want to post it on youtube but want to make sure it's legal to do so. The dashcam is not hidden and the person driving even seems to be talking to the dash cam by calling me "buddy" and saying "you got some junk" etc. Anybody have any insight about the legality of posting this?
Oh god I want to see this so badly. Can someone answer him so we can see this? I don't know much about the legal stuff but maybe it's cool if his face isn't shown?

It's in your car...your property...yes you can post it.
My concern was primarily recording a conversation without the person's consent. It's a privacy law thing. As long as they know they're being recorded I believe I'm in the clear. The camera is obvious, makes a noise and the screen lights up when it turns on and even shows that it's recording. So I'm 99.9% sure he knew, and him addressing me via the dash cam should prove that. Just don't want the guy losing his job or something and then blaming it on me. His face is never shown though.

So apparently I have a Mini 0805, my bro bought it.
I saw I can wire it to the rearview mirror so I don't have to tuck in the cable to the fuse box. Do I have to buy that ebay kit or can't I just strip the wires and plug in there?

Thanks.

I believe that the mirror output is 12VDC. If your dash cam requires 5VDC, you will need to purchase a minor cost transformer. I had to do that for my dash cam. The 12->5VDC transformer was only the size of a couple of AA batteries. I did have to splice the wires together. The camera and transformer neatly fit between the mirror and windshield.

Just bought a Thinkware F750 2ch setup for when my Mustang finally decides to arrive, not sure which fuse tap to buy. Pretty sure UK models will have the same fuse setup as the USA, is it a micro mini (mm2) fuse?

I had a hard time finding a fuse tap that would work at my local parts store. I just ended up wrapping the wire around one of the fuses for the time being. I'll eventually get a proper tap at some point. I am using a 750 2ch as well - it's great. Very happy with it.
