Opensesame it's at mccowan and Sheppard. Did you guys got the deal with employee discount?

going back to topic man that black vue with 2ch is nice but very pricey.
It's more expensive than most dash cams, but I'd hardly call it pricey. Less than $400 to get two cameras that sync their video, with a G-Sensor, GPS data, Sound Recording, parking mode, and Wi-Fi capability.

A GoPro sets you back $400 and is a single camera. Sure, the video is of higher quality, but I think it's a comparable value.

For peace of mind, that $400 seems like a bargain.

I'll be in that area tomorrow using my dad's garage to put on all the DD LEDs.

I got the Friends and Family discount while it was still on and got discount off of that.

For the BlackVue try AutoSound Design at Main St. & 7 Unionville. I'll let him say the price as I probably got family discount. He's good and will do the installation if you want. Ask for Tom and tell him it's a 2015 mustand and you hear about them from George.
This Black Vue 2 channel or 1? Did they tie the camera directly to the Battery or does it plug into the cig lighter? I am currently using a 13 dollar camera in my current car which I purchased off e-bay and it seems to do the trick but this is a Mustang and I am willing to pay up to $200. I'll contact them when the time is right.

$400 is out of my price range, I am looking for something within $200. Also looking for something really discreet and tiny, almost invisible.

1 channel. Not sure how it's hooked up but it's hardwired.

Nice! Im from around thag area lol. Where did you get your dd leds? When was the friends and family discount? I ordered mine last Saturday going back to east court because Costco has $1000 off incentive. Ok thanks for letting me know about the place. I'll probably check it out when I'm about to get my stang. I really like the black vue though.

DD = Diode Dynamics. Picked up all the interior and exterior options.
I ordered mine August 18, picked up Oct. 31. F&F pricing was still on at the time.

I've tried using a GoPro as a dash cam, even when plugged in it will still run out of battery and die after about 4 hours. Granted most trips are not this long, but it really just inst practical. I plan on using the BlackVue once I get my S550. I have a few friends that are using the older 550 model and they have nothing negative to say about it.

Seriously, just take an old cell phone, put a 64 GB microSD card in it, and you're good to go.

There's an apps for that for your iPhone, some free one $3.00. Can record your speed and GPS info. Glad you asked the question will have to try it.

Thank you,

This is the minimum I'd do if you're on a budget for $65.

http://www.amazon.com/1080p-Recorde...UTF8&qid=1417872542&sr=1-24&keywords=dash+cam

I prefer this one. Get the wide angle version for $93. Don't forget the suction cup and memory.

that's a little too big for me. I was looking at this
http://www.amazon.com/E-PRANCE-Reco...UTF8&qid=1417881032&sr=1-1&keywords=mini+0803

It's small and I like that the power is connected to the mount so you don't need to disconnect it. There's a few companies that sell the same unit under different names.

Are you referring to using your phone as a dashcam?

There are newer versions of this one (mini 0803), the mini 0805 is already available, the 0806 is coming soon. There are some trouble report about overheating mini 0803s, the new versions supposed to fix that + newer sensor, chip, maybe some new functions, etc... just google it or check amazon/ebay...

That works but only for shorter routes and frankly most of us won't bother mounting the phone and turning the app on after the first few try... Dashcams are convenient, most of them start recording when powered up and mounted permanently...

Otherwise one could use the default video app or apps like iOnRoad (which has lane assist function too)..
