Hey everyone, there might be a thread on this but I could not find it. I’m looking to do some aftermarket wheels on my non-HP Mach 1. I’d like to run 20x10s front and 20x11s rear. Anyone know what offset I need to run a 20x10 front with 285/35s?

I had previously ordered some HRE Flowform wheels, but they reached out saying +35 would hit inboard and would not work. They could only seem to give me the fitment for the HP wheels (10.5 wide fronts with +24 offset, and could not give me an offset for 20x10s. I did see StangMode had ran a 20x10 +34 velgens on his car and didn’t seem to have any issues. If anyone has experience or tips it would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have a Mach, mine is a 20 GT Premium Convertible with PP1. But I've got a set of Velgen 20 inch wheels with 20x10 et 34 fronts and 20x11 et 52 rears. I run pilot sport 4 s 295/30s up front and 315/30s in the rear with no issues or rubbing.

You'll more than likely have to run 285/30 tires. The LMR wheels are 19x10 +35 and those will work great with the 285/35 tire but the 20 inch wheels you need to run a 30 profile tire.

Run the same offsets as a regular Mustang. A popular offset is 35mm for a 10" wide wheel. The rears are normally an ET50 for an 11" wheel. Jstang is correct I would run a 30 series tire for 20" wheels.

I have 20x10.5 +24 fronts with 305/30 and 20x11.5 +55 rears with 315/30 rubber.

So that’s what I was thinking but I can’t for the life of me figure out why HRE told me they would hit inboard with that same exact offset

Gotcha, I am planning on staying stock height so not sure if that makes a difference in that. I did notice the bottom plate on the magnetic ride suspension is pretty close to the stock wheels so I’m curious if that’s why I would need 285/30s rather than it being a fender fitment/rub issue

For a 20 inch wheel even on stock ride height you'll more than likely rub on places with a 35 profile tire, especially if you go over a bump. To be safe I would run 30 profiles :)

I run a square setup of 285/35/20 on 20x10 wheels with a +35 offset and have no rubbing issues. You should be fine.

always consult Wheel Offset Calculator (tiresize.com) before even asking questions.
if 275/40/19 is fine, then 285/35/20 is fine. If you have something screwy with your setup (HRE uses a super thick rim lip?), then a 3mm or at most 5mm spacer will take care of it.
