I know it's a weird combo, but I'm hoping there's one out there looking for a good home. Can do without the boost if necessary, I can always add it myself. Just hoping to find that needle in the haystack! Doesn't need to be local, I can come out to you or have it transported if it's the right...
If you've got a Fastenal near you and they do to, you can use Blue Lane Shipping which goes from store to store and it'll be cheaper than any other method. They'll do a whole pallet for less than $200.
I've been eyeing up those supercar 3s after seeing some glowing reviews from tire-reviews.com who is just about the only person I trust for unbiased opinions. I'd have to go a little smaller to 285 up front when it's time to change the fronts, but that's not the end of the world.
I also keep...
So I've read about a million posts and threads about all the different tires everybody is running, and I'm still unsure of what to do here. I know there's no such thing as a do everything tire, but I'd like to get close. Here is what I got and what I'm trying to do -
2020 PP1 w/magneride on...
I don't have a Mach, mine is a 20 GT Premium Convertible with PP1. But I've got a set of Velgen 20 inch wheels with 20x10 et 34 fronts and 20x11 et 52 rears. I run pilot sport 4 s 295/30s up front and 315/30s in the rear with no issues or rubbing.
Wanted to update this thread in case anybody is searching around later with the same issue as the it has been fixed. One of the pins of the new harness was bent down when plugged in, which we noticed when trying to swap the harnesses to see if we had a bad harness. Between that and a few metal...
Welp, I went through that reset process twice. An hour of my life gone and still no change. This thing is frustrating the hell out of me. The valves both cycle completely open and closed every time I turn the car or accessories on. They have nothing impeding the motion of the valves, and...
So I had a Roush X-Pipe installed last Friday and when I got the car back it gave the "active exhaust not available" warning on startup and the system was stuck on the last setting. Did a little research and saw how the harnesses can get frayed on the frame weld and then shorts out and pops the...
I'm only comparing the ride with the 30 series tires already installed. The ride was very compliant with them on there and the stock suspension. The sways are set to softest rear and second firmest front. Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not familiar with the bump stops themselves. I have the rear...
I went with Steeda for springs and the bumpsteer kit. Plenty of people have different company springs on their vehicles, what are you talking about?
Every bushing and connection and link is BMR what the hell does it matter who made the spring?
Did the alignment, don't have the sheet handy but I'm bringing it in on Wednesday to fine tune it and take a look at the spring situation. Might have them swap back on my stock springs and see how it feels so I can say exactly how much of the harshness is from the springs, then go from there...
I understand that replacing a lot of soft bushings with a lot of give in them with harder poly stuff can make things firmer, that's the point. The reason I'm focusing so much on the springs is because I'm feeling a ton of firmness and feedback from the front end too, and the only stuff I did up...
I hear ya. But the car ran fantastic on this exact 20 inch wheel and tire setup, so I'm not going to change a $5,000 wheel and tire package to fix the ride harshness of a set of $400 springs.
It's on my list. Holiday weekend I figured there wouldn't be anybody to talk to. Although tbh I'm a little pissed at them for recommending the dual rates in the first place even I contacted them and told them my goals. They definitely oversold the streetability of those springs.
I run pilot sport 4s 295/30r20 front and 315/30r20 rear. 33 psi cold. 1,000 miles on them. They felt amazing on the stock PP1 setup. The ride was not harsh or jarring at all on them. Just had a lot of wheel hop on the factory stuff. That's all gone now, but I need to get the feel over bumps and...
Lol yes you can. I listened to Steeda when I told them I wanted a great handling spring for winding and bumpy country back roads and they put me into the dual rates! Should have been the progressives from the jump, but they aren't as expensive I guess. I didn't do enough homework and just...
