US customer cars are higher priority than Canadian / International, no surprise. Any dealer ordered cars ordered before your factory order will also be higher priority.I am a little bit unsure about this. I placed my order in toronto, canada on june 20th. I had not heard anything from my dealership and went in to see them yesterday. I was informed that the dealer did not have any allocation for the month of June. He told me that his rep/regional rep has said that they're making the cars that were ordered prior to the pandemic and as such they are making most of the cars from usa. That the canadian cars will be made later.
He said that he has spoken to his rep and that he will be getting the allotments this next month. I informed him that there are people that have ordered their cars after I did and that theirs are being given vin numbers etc, he said that thats probably only happening in us and not in canada. I am just looking to find out if anyone could shed more light on this, thanks.
As a mustang enthusiast, that sucks donkey balls. Also I forgot to mention that my dealer told me that he put a priority of 1 on my order so he expects it to go through as soon as he gets his allocation for the next month. Hopefully I get mine soonUS customer cars are higher priority than Canadian / International, no surprise. Any dealer ordered cars ordered before your factory order will also be higher priority.

I'd say if you get your VIN 3-4 weeks after order date then that would match up with my timing, so it wouldn't be out of the norm for Canada. As a mustang enthusiast, that sucks donkey balls. Status changed to Body ShopStatus tracker updated to In Production as of today, Window Sticker also generated. 1 week ahead of schedule from an estimate given to me back in June.
i got a call today from the new car sales manager. He told me that his source which I am assuming is the regional manager has informed him that due to covid, there are delays for all vehicles across canada. He told me that they will build my car in october and it should be at the dealership sometime in December. When I asked him if it were the same for other dealerships too he said that the scenario is the same across Canada and no dealership is ahead of any other when it comes to custom orders. He asked me if I wanted to still go ahead with the order or cancel it. I have chosen to go ahead and wait it out. This really sucks. The winters here are bad and I wanted to drive my car in summer :/I'd say if you get your VIN 3-4 weeks after order date then that would match up with my timing, so it wouldn't be out of the norm for Canada.
That's insane. I would have thought production would only go by faster as time went on, and that the biggest issue was the backlog of builds from when Flat Rock assembly was shut down. i hope thats the case too but the guy is willing to cancel my order altogether since he had initially suggested a delivery date of mid august. The dealerships dont typically offer to cancel deals and lose money. I sincerely hope that he is wrong and that my car gets scheduled ahead of his given schedule. Fingers crossedThat's insane. Probably due to the border being closed. I can tell you that there is no delay on this side. I ordered my car 6/26 and it was produced yesterday, estimated arrival at dealer next week.i got a call today from the new car sales manager. Pretty sure those closures only affect leisure / "non-essential" travel and don't impact anything related to trade.Probably due to the border being closed. I can tell you that there is no delay on this side. I ordered my car 6/26 and it was produced yesterday, estimated arrival at dealer next week.
Since that makes 2 of you mentioning October, and you're a US build, seems like there might have been a surge of orders this summer pushing everything back?Ordered my PP2 GT 7/20 and just got word it’s planned to be built the week of 10/5. That’s not good
It is probably a surge due to the $6k of delivery credits being offered by ford on Mustangs here in canada. Probably similar credits in us I am assuming. Those are hard to resistPretty sure those closures only affect leisure / "non-essential" travel and don't impact anything related to trade.
