Good day! I was told by my dealership this morning that there is currently a delay/constraint with CS editions. Can anyone confirm this? I can't find constraint information anywhere though I have heard others talking about constraints.

And for other MY22 GT Premium CS owners, how long did it take for your order to process??

Thank you!

I'm unaware of any model restrictions. Previously in the model year, Ford did have several options which were marked as "Late Availability", but all of that has since been rescinded. You should be able to order any type of Mustang, any option.

Within 24 hours of placing an order, you should receive an E-mail from Ford, acknowledging it. Afterwards, months could go by before you receive a second e-mail, confirming the week and date when the car is scheduled for production. Once the car is built, you'll get another e-mail. Finally, two more, when the car is shipped and later received. Shipment from factory to dealer is taking about a month.

Ford will continue to build MY 22 Mustangs until the Fall. Ford begins taking orders for MY 23 Mustangs as soon as September/October.

Yep, I have an order placed (05/10). I just reached out to my dealership this morning to see if my Mustang was being previewed and was told it wasn't and that there was currently a delay with the CS package and that was why it wasn't being previewed.

"Previewed"? I don't understand. In the Ford tracker?

The Ford tracker, the images displayed, are not always accurate. However, while you view different feature details within the Ford tracker, you should see "CS" or "Costal Limited Package" in the narrative.

For example, when I placed my order and eventually went into the tracker, the spoiler and other HP attributes were not displaying visually. But when I clicked on the different feature groups, the narrative clearly stated "Handling Package".

Big takeaway is your order and any narrative in the tracker clearly identify it as one with CS or Costal Limited selected. If they don't, go back and discuss with your salesperson.

With respect to delays, MY22 has seen many parts, labor/assembly and shipping delays. Will your order lag at times? Almost guaranteed; that's happening industry-wide. But as far as different options, you should be able to place an order for what you want.

Preview is apparently something Dealerships can do, not us commoners lol. I don't know the exact workings so I can't give more information than they can see how many of their factory orders are being previewed for possible scheduling.

I understand there are delays for all kinds of reasons and I am ok with that, I just wanted to know if there was a delay regarding the CS that I wasn't aware of and it doesn't seem as though there is.

Scheduling, check. Like a look-ahead as to when it might be scheduled for production. OK. I understand. I don't have insight into that process, but I do know from other postings here, August production is getting lined up. Your first window of opportunity for your build might be August.

Forums members are great for posting upcoming schedules. Pay attention to the "22 S500 Tracking Thread" for when Ford releases upcoming scheduling information, when they intend to build Mustangs in a future month.

From experience, once scheduled for Production, you'll get an e-mail. Short while later, the Window Sticker feature will begin working at the tracker. You'll be able to download your window sticker.

Scheduling is like the lottery. Some have gotten their builds surprisingly quick, others have waited months.

Good Luck to you and others. I'd love to see a Summer push with a lot of orders filled.
