Will be placing an order for a 401A and would like it in March. What are recent orders getting for estimated delivery date?

This may not be an apples-to-apples comparison, but I ordered my 2019 GT w/PP2 the 1st week in July. I rec'd the VIN just a few days ago & the (current) dealer ETA is November 9th. I hope this helps. :like:

It depends on dealer order code and parts holdups. I ordered mine three days ago and expect it around Christmas. However, if a part is in short supply, the delay will be however long it takes to get caught up. Dealer codes run from 10-19 as to priority. I have an 11, but an 18 could add weeks to a build.

I didn't realize lead time differed by that much. 8-16w just between the two responses. I'm not getting a PP but will get safe & smart and BLIS (used to it on my F150). I better get my order in just in case any of those components are in short supply. Thanks!

What did your sales person tell you? How many weeks?

Going to see him tonight. Just wanted to be informed before I heard a number. When I ordered my 2015 F150, it took about 6 weeks longer than they said.

My order was placed 1 week ago. GT prem. 401a, PP1, Magneride. Was told 8 weeks from the sales guy but I really think it will be more like 10-12 weeks or possibly longer after reading in this forum. No Vin yet or other status from Ford. Sales guy said to touch base with him no sooner than 2 weeks after placing the order for any updates. I asked him about possible delays due to having Magneride on the order and was told that Ford would not “back burner” my car behind the Bullitts. Just from reading this forum, and I may be wrong, seems like there are weeks and weeks of waiting with little to no information then sort of out-of-the-blue your car is built and you have an ETD.

For a delivery date, how long were you told when you first placed the order?

I was told the about the same thing. When I pressed about the delays I've seen posted on this forum I was told that Magnaride was in full swing and there aren't any foreseeable parts delays. I reached out yesterday and waiting for a response. With winter approaching and holidays, I don't see getting my hands on the beast until January/February. But I remain optimistic that the 8-10 weeks I was told isn't a canned response. Seems to be though.

I ordered a '19 GT Convertible 8/23/18. It's a 401A / Magneride car. I expected a VIN in NOV, with a DEC build and JAN delivery. I received my car yesterday! 61 days total from order to pick up. I am still amazed.

My situation is a little different in that I wasn't as concerned about ETA as I was about just being able to get the PP2 option. At the time, I did not know if the 1,500 PP2 production number was in effect for 2019 (it wasn't). I just wanted to get some kind of confirmation that my order had been accepted by Ford (that, in itself, took a few weeks). Once I knew that the order was accepted by Ford, I really didn't care about the ETA. My real 'problem' is garage space. I have to move out two (2) 1998 Mustangs to make room for the 2019 ... the proverbial 8 lbs of peanut butter in a 5 lb jar. :frown:

Very encouraging. Hopefully, I’ll experience similar results. Question: how long did it take from your order date to receive any comfirmable info like a VIN or something you could track online?
