I have a 2020 GT convertible and have noticed a weird problem for a few weeks now. If I’m driving and stop someplace for a short time (like pumping gas or dropping my dog off at daycare) when I get back in the car and turn it back on, the SiriusXM doesn’t work. The display is locked on whatever...
That’s not right. I can tell you for a fact the blend date is final assembly date. I obsessively tracked my car as it was built. I’m
Not the only one.
Winter I go through a touchless car wash to remove road salt about once a week. No issues. Summer is hand wash. Never, ever go through a standard car wash. My car is ceramic coated.
The blend date is final assembly, when the car is completed. The build starts a couple days before that. The cars are never totally built in one day. Body assembly and paint happen before the blend date, for one.
Modified cars basically lose all the money you put into the mods. A car that is stock is worth more and is going to be more reliable. Plus, the likelihood of abuse of a modded car is much higher. The GT350 is a better stock platform if that’s what you’re concerned about.
I had good experiences with the Chrysler dealer service when I had a Chrysler. That was especially good because the damn car was in there all the time. Their engineering is shit. I’ve had 5 Ford products over the last 30 years, including 3 Mustangs, and have had zero major issues. All were...
The build date is final assembly. It will actually start being built a few days before that (body produced and assembled, paint, shop, etc). You can track progress through several links you can find in this forum (I don’t remember them offhand)
You didn’t learn from the first one? They seem like nice cars until you figure out maintenance is as much as a BMW, plus all the notorious electrical issues that never seem to get resolved.
Some people like to troll other forums. They usually brag about how their crap car would torch a Mustang. I see no point in hanging out in the forums of cars I don’t own and I come here specifically for talk about my own car and to learn about it.
I spent $600 to have my new car ceramic coated and it looks fantastic. PPF would have been closer to $2000 and would still need fixing after a few years, plus potential damage to the paint. Not worth it IMHO
I got a 2 layer ceramic coating done for $600. That included paint correction, etc. totally worth it- looks amazing and car is much easier to maintain. Shop around- some other shops were much higher priced.
