To all the guys or gals who have had both or have heard both. I need input. I have kooks lth no cats with corsa extreme with dynomax bullets. I like the raw sound but i would still like it a tad tamer. After i added the bullets it did tame the rasp down but since its all 3inch now i think the bullets actually added volume . I still want a loud agressive exhaust to match the blower and the tial bypass valve. How much quieter will the touring mufflers be?

They take it from crazy/obnoxious to just loud. I've had both catbacks. The Sport catback (touring mufflers) is still a loud exhaust. If the Xtreme is a 10, the Sport is an 8, not a 5 or 6. It's also got a richer overall tone; deeper in the lower and middle.

I have the corsa sport cat back with Pypes catless lth. Couldn't be happier with the setup. Still overkill loud but not as much as the extremes. Some don't like the rasp but I love it.

Having heard this car at Carlisle this past weekend, I can say it definitely sounds perfect to me. I have the Extreme's and that is the only thing holding me back from LTH's at the moment.

Have you heard catted long tubes with the extremes ? Quite nice ! The route I am looking at for mine.

I can't say I have in person. If it is anything similar to the Sport+LTH I would be down for that combo.

Funny you would say that. I have Extreme cat backs and refuse to install LTH's because my son did on car. He is catless LTH with Extremes. It is NASCAR loud.

Even with catted LTs it's way raspier and louder, and not as rich of a tone as with the touring mufflers. Don't get me wrong though, I love the Xtreme sound on stock headers.

If you want LTs, go with the sport catback. DD'ing Xtreme + LTs makes you a bit of an a$$. It just does. "Look at me, I don't GAF about anyone else but me!" Many, many racetracks would kick you out with that too. That's saying something.

Oh wow I hadn't heard of anyone getting kicked off the track. Maybe that varies state by state, track by track. The problem is some already have extremes :)

Yeah there are a good number where you will barely squeak by with just the Xtremes. At some, even on stock headers they'll fail sound. I was told at my last autocross that I was getting measured for sound level with my sport catback. It was ok, but it is loud enough to get noticed in the wrong way occasionally.

Do what I did if you need: trade someone axlebacks. Met up at my house and a couple hours later, both parties were happy.

You'll still get a great aggressive tone from the Corsa Sports on you setup. The Corsa Extremes are REALLY loud, especially on a cat-less setup..The extremes just might get old after a while.

Ive got the Sport mufflers on mine and when I added an X pipe (making them extremes) it was too raspy and annoying. I added 2 resonators and it sounded perfect. Fast forward to today...Catted Longtubes are on and its back to being WAY too loud and Raspy in the mid range. I want to either add some longer resonators hoping they will have the same effect OR try to find someone with a Touring axleback and trade them. I dont hate the sound honestly, its just a little loud lol

While I don't disagree that the Xtremes are loud, I think this is a bit of an exaggeration here. Personally, with LTs I would recommend the Sport, yes. However, I daily Xtremes with a catless setup and there are plenty of cars louder than mine. It's definitely loud but your right foot has some control over just how low. The comment I get the most is people don't realize just how loud the car actually gets because I'm not mashing the gas every I go. With that in mind, there shouldn't be any actual racetracks kicking you out over noise. If you think these are louder than let's say a big block Mopar or Chevy running at the track, that's just not true. Actual racetracks versus autocross events held in a school parking lot are a lot different.

+1

I daily xtremes/catless and yeah, it’s loud. But it’s only REALLY loud when I want it to be. Drone is at a minimum thanks to Corsa. All my Corvette buddies with headers are just as loud if not louder. This amazing sounding z06 straight piped and cammed with full exhaust is way louder my setup (hard to believe but it is) and he’s ran multiple tracks so if he didn’t get kicked out it wouldn’t make sense that I would.
