I just ordered a set of Kooks catted headers for my car. How do you think the volume will be with my MBRP Street cat back? I was considering swapping out the mufflers if it was too loud.
I don't have any experience with MRBP street exhaust but headers are going to make it considerably louder. There is a couple videos of people with your exhaust and headers on youtube. Long as you weren't on the fence about it being to loud before, I'd say you should be ok. But I have one one of the loudest set ups, so loud doesn't bother me. :headbonk:

It will be a lot louder and raspier. If it's too loud and raspy weld or clamp two race bullets right after the X or H.

It won't be too bad. If you want to take it down some add a Borla touring resonator. See how it is 1st.

Thats what i was thinking, keep the exhaust and add a resonator, makes sense.

That should be a pretty good set up. I have done a Stainless Works with MBRP Street before at the shop. I liked the overall sound. In car it was a little droney but over all not that bad. You should be happy with it.

The Xtreme on stock headers/cats with windows down @ WOT is right at the threshold of too loud/painful, regardless of what it's like for others, and is actually not legal at many racetracks :headbonk:.

it has an engine!
If catless xtremes are too loud, my old foxbody with a 351w stroked to a 427 running a 1050cfm dom carb and 250 shot, running straight arh longtubes with straight piping out the back was beyond loud.

I drove mine for a day open headers with just two 6" race bullets on the collectors. First time I started it it was so loud and deep at idle it actually hurt in my chest like heavy bass from a system.

I can believe that. My fox would literally shake windows in houses when i drove by. When i passed cars it was hard for people to breathe. :D. You couldn't hear yourself think in it. It was glorious
