I'm thinking more on the lines of an M5. I like my comfort.

I found the problem, the car had two rear control arm bushings that were torn. It's still not as stable as the C6 but close. At least now I know where the edge is.

THAT makes sense. What you were saying before didn't, which is why I said go drive it again. There had to be something fundamentally wrong for you to be reporting what you were. I bet if you put the monoball upgrade in, it would feel better yet.

I've owned an e46 and two e90 M3s. I can attest to the similarities between the S550 and the E9x BMW suspensions. However, the rear suspension execution in the S550 is horribly flawed. My stock 2009 e90 would run circles around a stock PP1 (similar HP, weight and spring rates stock). I'd venture to say I could turn in a better lap time in my e46 than I could in a stock GT350R with 100 less hp. Goes without saying the e46 was pretty far from stock, but the basic chassis design was superior to the S550, and that's a 20 year old design. Ford has a little way to go, still.

Sorry folks. Too many Martinis leads to drunk posting. E46 was nice. Not GT350R killer nice.

I've got it where I do have confidence in the car. There is still something moving around in the rear. I believe it to be the bushings deflecting. Looks to be close to 1000 more to replace all of them with poly, not sure I want to spend that for the last 10% of bounciness.

To me, bushings are a foundational component. They make all the other chassis changes so much more effective that I feel it's important to do them first. The SuperPro stuff looks particularly nice, but they are expensive. For that reason, I've chosen to go with the Energy Suspension package, at least for the suspension. I used BMR for the rear subframe & differential.

E.S. is way behind on production right now, so it will probably be 6 weeks before I see my order.

The bushings are important everywhere. For example, put camber wherever you want, but if the bushings deflect excessively every time you put lateral load on the car & let the camber wobble around by 2-3 degrees, what does it matter where you set it?

I know, I'm trying hard to talk myself out of buying them. ES lists nothing under the 2017 mustang search.
