So does the fan blow air across both sides of the heat exchanger, or is the the heatsink purely passive?

I know that is what it appears from the pictures, I was curious if that was actually the case.It blows across both like it should, but all the hot air is trapped, so the cold air flex tube gets encircled with it.
This is how I think the cool and warm air flows on the seat back units. One thing that probably happens that I didn't get quite right back when I posted (link below) is that the fan probably blows across both the cool and warm sides of the unit instead of the reject heat just rising from natural convection. If you look back at the original images Droid Junky took up inside the seat, you'll see that the flexible duct goes to the seat and isn't the exhaust outlet. The heat just comes out directly from the other opening next to the duct. This is different than the units used on other fords that have the two outlets at 90° from each other with the cold side plugging directly into the seat (no flex tube) and the hot side vented off via tubing.
The air may already be forced over both the cool and warm sides of the heat sink. If someone could run a unit outside the seat (I think Droid_Junky already did that), one could simply feel if there is air flow coming out of the rejected heat port (red arrows in the photo link below).Droid_Junky, have you put any thought into combining your "cold air intake" with any forced air over the heat sink?
