Hello Mustang friends!
First I want to thank everyone for sharing their expertise on every issue that comes up. So incredibly helpful; I'm very impressed with the wealth of knowledge and ability amongst all the owners and DIY owners. Solving these problems on our own not only saves a lot of money, but also helps us know our cars better and become more educated, always a good thing.
The latest concern with my 2017 GT (convertible, 41k miles) i
noticed a small puddle of antifreeze ( about 3/4 cup appx)on the garage floor one night after having been parked about a week.
So of course, dived right into it.
Removed under body front cover, inspected hoses, radiator, plastic connections, looked closely at everything I could see and reach; found nothing.
Ran the car to normal operating temperature, gauge stayed in middle range, found nothing
Shut engine off, looked at everything under pressure and warm, again found nothing
Since then, drove the car for a Wednesday night event, and parked in the garage later.
Next day, no sign of any leaks, everything dry, hmmm, I say while scratching head
I believe this is a closed system, so I'm stymied as to how the antifreeze escaped
I think the next step will be a pressure test of the system
Any thoughts or opinions on this would be very much appreciated!
