Looking to pick up a '16 Mustang convertible and found one that both the wife and I like. We didn't close the deal today but when test driving / inspecting the car I noticed that when the convertible top was down the left side of the folded top was level with the seats but the right side was about a 1/2" higher.

Anyone else run into this before? Is it normal or something that is a quick fix?

We did put the top up and down a couple times and it seemed to function properly. It would be our first convertible so it is all new territory to us.

In the section between the quarter windows and the rear window there are support bars. They can become disconnected. This might cause the slight difference you see. There is a TSB on it I believe.

Hmmm,

I'd make sure that was noted in the sale documentation. The body shop should be involved before I'd finalize. They should be on the hook to make that right before you put the money down. :paddle:

And try to fit the covers on it to be sure they can see the difference.

Ok, I will have them adjust and note it.

Off hand does anyone have the TSB number for the convertible issue?
