Convertible Tonneau Bag

For those of you that have the convertible and have received the tonneau caps either when you picked up the car or have received your missing pieces from Ford - did the caps come with a storage bag? Mine did not. :shrug:

Yes they are shipped inside a black bag.

Phil1336: Not complaining at all. Just wondering! If it had not been for all the issues you guys had, I may have not even known to ask about the bag.
Someday, we'll all know what took so long for all you guys to get them. I'm curious too. Have been in the Manufacturing and QA business for a long time and have had more than my share of part shortages, critical suppliers having issues, certifications, etc. :headbonk:

MuastangS550 - TNX for pic. Is that an actual storage bag or just a bag to ship the parts in? Looks like a storage bag the owner can use in between long driving sessions.

In my box, each cap was in it's own separate plastic bag. The nylon storage bag was separate inside the box, IIRC.

Interesting - mine came in the trunk in my new car last week in a disposable plastic bag, no nylon storage bag.

I got the storage bag and the two pieces each in a separate plastic bag and an instruction sheet

UPS delivered mine in two poly bags along with the storage bag.

Very interesting. Our convertible came with the two Tonneau caps in separate plastics bags like you would get them from the warehouse, but there was not the nylon bag in the trunk as far as I can tell.

So, based on the information received so far in this post:

2 people got convertibles with caps, but without the nylon bag.

2 people who did not receive their caps with their car received the caps later in separate shipment from Ford. They also received a nylon bag.

Anybody else want to contribute to this "investigation"?

Yes, I`ll contribute "My Two Cents"! I have received NOTHING, period! No Postcard, No Tonneau Caps, No Nylon Storage Bag, Nada. Anyone wanna top that?:first:

Well that's not surprising. The rest of us 'vert owners took a vote and decided you don't deserve them.

It appears (from the multiple comments) that the tonneau caps that come with the convertible are simply thrown into the trunk along with their factory plastic bags.
The caps that are shipped out to the 'early deliveries' usually come with the nylon storage bag. At last...a 'gift' from FORD for making us wait for months after our cars were
assembled and then waiting another couple of months to get a simple pair of plastic caps.
