I paid 35 for my base 21 with 250 miles. I could buy two of them for 70k. This price doesn't include taxes, tags and registration. Final closer to 80k I am guessing. Ins will be up there too.

Stopped by my local Ford dealership and got sticker shock from a 2025 GT Convertible. How is the younger generation going to be able to afford a Mustang?

I wonder how much is hidden Dealer markup or Dealer controlled pricing?

It's price "Escalation" like in the Dark Knight movie... Eco boost is the pricing of a GT and a GT is well... crazy.

That's insane, almost double what I gave for my 2019 PP. Maybe I should list mine, it's still brand new (5000 miles) lol.

Ford has completely lost their bearings especially with the extremely poor quality of their vehicles and huge investment they have wasted in the EV market. Ridiculous pricing like this is a direct result of trying to make a quarterly profit at the expense of continuing to improve and build on your company brand and reputation. The fact that they gave up making cars serveral years ago (with exception of the Mustang) is a clear indication that they could no longer compete successfully in the US automotive market. Be very thankful if you did not buy an electric Mustang, that is a failure similar to that of the Edsel.

that car is in the green bay area, dealt with 2 of their bergstrom dealerships. convertibles and, frankly, rear wheel drive cars in general will sit from october to april. if anyone is serious about it, make a stupid offer and I bet they start negotiating.

I bought my '16 genesis coupe in november of 15 and bergstrom hyundai was itching to get it off the lot(last one they had until spring 16). got, imo, a great deal waiting until late fall.....
my old silverado was a CPO purchase from bergstrom gmc in fall 16 and they were great to deal with as well.

I agree with the others. Even at $65k I don’t see the “value”. It will be worth $45k next year

Nice car, but In Australia, Ford dealer wants my mint 18000 mile 17 GT and $45 000 USD cash to upgrade.
Can’t see the value. Nor can the Ford dealer. Never had an S650 owner justify it either.
One suggested maybe I can’t afford it - easy, I can also trade my mint 18 GT hardtop. Plus cash

That comment, the "can't afford it" one always pisses me off. Even if it's not directed at me.
How arrogant do you have to be to judge someone based on what they consider is worth spending money on? I've seen it a couple of times lately and it's simply uncalled for.
Someone said in another thread that if you buy regular fuel instead of premium then you shouldn't own a mustang. Really, who the F$%& cares if I don't need to squeeze the last 4 HP out of a car that can't be used to its potential in daily driving anyway.
I could "afford" that car and a couple more if I chose to but I simply don't feel the need to. My '18 EB convertible makes me very happy and if someone doesn't like that, too damn bad!!!

Sorry, rant over for now...

I don’t think a younger mustang buyer would be starting out with a premium with 12k worth of options. Probably more likely to start with a standard GT with minimal options. That being said, a standard GT starts at 45k, so still not that affordable. Of course, car prices are insane regardless of what you are looking at, regardless of brand.

There is a '24 Dark Horse sitting at my local Ford dealer that stickers for $79,000 and change.
I walk past it on my way to the parts department and cashier once every other week or so.
I bought a loaded '23 Expedition Limited brand new for LESS!! My '18 PP1 is pretty loaded and stickered for $49K. I bought it last summer with 6K miles for under $35K. Is it any wonder the S650's are not selling??
Ford HAS indeed lost their way. Or maybe lost their collective minds. It's actually sad.

Afford a newer Mustang by buying used - first owner took the 30%-40% deprecation hit…. LOL

All vehicle prices are ridiculous at the moment, I was looking at a new Transit van for work. I walked into the dealer and he showed me the price and that was before I added some extras. Needless to say I didnt bother. I will keep patching mine up until I retire.
