Hi. Did you sit your car on the ground to neutralise the suspension/bars prior to tightening the end links? (I sat my car on 10" boards so I had room to crawl under to adjust) I put 250 lbs of weight on my drivers seat to simulate my weight while driving. I torqued the jam nuts and applied Blue Loctite. Good LuckHave the Steeda adjustable ones and I tightened them down and now they’re clinking again. Going over bumps. It’s driving me nuts.
Anything else I should look for?
Yeah I tightened them last night. Noise is gone.Just jack up the car, remove the tire and tighten the link bolts. They are not under tension.
You don't need to. It's not that kind of bushing. If you are working like normal people without a lift and what not. You just need to get the car weight on the suspension.
Had the same problem on my Ford. Took it in for repair and came back doing exactly what you describe. Decided to keep driving since it wasn't hurting nobody, except like you said over bumps and potholes. Finally, heard about about a shop that was good at these sort of nuisances. That guy said it was those links on the swaybar. Seems the first didn't know what he was doing, or was toying around with the rear end and left loose ends all over the place. Paid the new guy and still driving it like racehorse.Have the Steeda adjustable ones and I tightened them down and now they’re clinking again. Going over bumps. It’s driving me nuts.
