Who said hate? When I commuted in boring stop and go, I had my '05 Focus SE hatchback. I LOVED that little car.

Driving my manual PP GT going in average of 20-30mph in stop and go, wasting gas and miles........so much Fun!!!
I'm with you. I love my '13 Elantra as a daily because:
- park it anywhere without care and if it gets a door ding who cares
- start it in the morning and redline it without worries about warming it up
- get in with dirty shoes and big deal the carpet gets muddy
- throw 10ft long pieces of lumber in from trunk to dash
- take the kids to school and they drop stuff on the seats..ah whatever

No way in hell would I do that to my beloved GT350!

I don't find stop and go traffic boring in the GT350. IMO stop and go is fun in any Mustang I've owned. And usually my stop and go is a couple minutes and then things open up. I have driven some Focuses (Foci?) and every one of them was terrible. At best boring, at worst a complete piece of garbage. Like I said, to each their own.

I find the GT350 to be too exciting to daily drive. A 3 mile crawl dragging the clutch is a pain for everyone, but no worse in the GT350. When traffic opens up, I have to stop myself from being, well, a Mustang owner. My last drive _to_ an HPDE got me road debris to crash into my license plate and damage the front bumper. I'd rather daily drive something else.

Just accept the soulcrushing beatdown of driving the Focus or F150, and free your GT350 for what it wants to do. The GT350 only brings happy thoughts.

Definitely there are consequences for using a car as transportation, or on the track for that matter. I was irritated when I killed my first cone in the GT350, and then I realized it's just part of having a car you love - the little wounds hurt more. I still want to find the person at Walmart that crashed their door into my car and drove off, though. That one has been hard to let go of.

So are you going to drive a car you hate every day so that you will enjoy the GT350 more every once in a while when you finally drive it? :headbonk:

To each their own.
This is a bit extreme. I never said I prefer a Prius lol.
OP mentioned his daily commute is approx. 10 miles, 100% residential area with 40 mph speed limit. Similar to mine. I was just dragging the clutch going from 1st to 2nd then back to neutral. Not fun at all.
Plus, 10-mile drive won't even get the engine warmed up and I cannot push my car even if the road is clear. :frusty:

I'd take my GT350 to some good roads/tracks where I have the space to push it. On my daily commute, sometimes I'd rather be driven.

I get it. I'm not saying you or anyone else is wrong. I just think differently I guess. Personally I like stop and go because it gives me a chance to accelerate, brake, shift, etc. In other words, do all the things that a manual transmission requires you to do. I also love slower speeds because the window can come down so I hear the exhaust better. Cruising on the highway there's no difference between a GT350 and any old car with an automatic transmission.
