I’m going back and forth on selling my 2016 gt pp 400A. It’s my first mustang and I hope won’t be my last but I have a 5 month old and will probably have one or two more kids so I’m not really able to drive it much. It has about 44k miles, probably close to 50k after this summer, and some subtle mods (borla axle back, mrt h-pipe, euro taillights). Kbb and nada value trade in around $31,000+ but that seems like wishful thinking. Just looking for some input in what the actual value may be, thanks in advance.

Just input all the vehicle info on Vroom, Carvana and autolendersgo and you'll see what it's worth.

Yeah, sell it for big $$. Don't trade it in, sell it privately. Or to Carvana or whatever.

If you go to a dealership, they can quote you a price. Like others have said it's a very good time to sell now. You hold the upper hand, if you go into the dealership be confident, they know what's out there in the open market. They will add about 4K to whatever they give you and that car will be sold in no time. Trust me I have so two different vehicles in the last month to dealerships. Online sales are great, but a dealership will hand you a check the same day.

Vroom, and Carvana offered me much less for my 2015 Colorado with 116k miles on it. Dealership offered me more, then added 3k to what they offered me and put it on the lot.

Private sale is the way to go. I’d ask 31k if that’s what blue book says it’s worth. Having little ones takes precedence over a fun car. There was a time when I drove a shit box Aveo to work just so my kids could have the nicer things in life.

I have an "offer" on my Escape: Edmund's/CarMax are offering $300 more than I paid a year ago. Credit Karma says its value is up $2,300. I assume that's retail +/-.

So my wife and I just had a son and I had a practical car for 2 years in anticipation (it took longer than we thought). My wife has the current VW Tiguan which is huge inside, just short of a mid sized SUV. What we found was that my car wasn’t getting used because it wasn’t as practical. So when my lease was up, she bought me my Mustang GT as a surprise. My son is 11 months old and has never been in the car. I only use it if I have to go somewhere on my own or if I just need to get out for a drive after I put my son to bed (my job right now, my wife wakes in the morning with him).

My advice, keep it, don’t sell unless you absolutely have to, it is a great stress reliever.
