Hi guys , so correct me if I'm wrong here , but being a complete kit , it comes with a tuner inside say like a lund ? and if the kit is compete and comes with a Lund tune , does this mean after you install the supercharger you just upload the tune and drive ? or does the car still need to go on a dyno after install ?

No. Complete kits generally come with fuel system components needed (injectors/ boost a pump), and a tune from the manufacturer (procharger tune, whipple tune, vortech tune, etc.) With a tuner kit you would source fueling and tuning (lund, pbd, aed) on your own. These cars really never need to go on a dyno to be tuned. They have wide band O2 sensors from the factory. You can datalog the car on the street easily and get tune revisions from the tuner of your choice.

Some complete kits come with aftermarket tuning. So after you installed the kit you would contact the tuner and answer some questions. then they email you a base file. You load the base file with whatever tuning device that came with the kit. then data log as instructed and email it to the tuner. This goes back and forth until you are tuned

It all depends on what you want to do ultimately. Do you want something mild like +120rwhp or something more substantial.

Here's an example of a kit we offer here at Lethal for Whipple but with your choice of fuel upgrades , tuning, OPG/CS and spark so you can buy everything at one time and not be stuck with the lack-luster manufacturer tune.

you have 3 opions really. a tuner kit which is just the physical supercharger kit
a complete kit, which is a kit from the mfg with their fuel and tuning recommendations, and their handheld and tune, some of which will be carb legal
and then a custom package like our beefcake special, that you see copied alot.

thats a tuner kit, with our fueling recommendations, along with many customizeable options

we do more coyote power adders than anyone out there, we also can help with installation.

A complete kit has fueling and what I like to call an "off the shelf" tune. It will have a lot more power but timing will be conservative and will be on the safer side of things. Most companies use SCT for their tuning. Whipple uses a Tomahawk similar to FRPP.
