Cold air intakes=useless?

Question. Is there going to be some level of drone noise with any catback exhaust system that deletes the resonator? And for those who have catbacks is the drone super noticeable? Please indicate your specific catback system.

Adam can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he said the MAP cat-back didn't drone with or without them.

How does that sound in person? Id actually like to stick with all FORD parts if i can but i didnt like the way the FORD catback sounded in the online videos.

After going back and forth for 3 days, I went ahead and got the Magnaflow Street Cat back. I have listened to sounds, through head phones, and through my Bose Blue tooth speaker, they sounded absolutely the best.....for what i was looking for. ASnd I couldn't pass up the deal quite honestly.

I have my Cobb, ready to install, Airaid on the Way, and the Magnaflows also on the way. We have been hammered with cold temps and LOTS of snow. So I haven't installed the tune yet. I didn't see any reason since I cant get the Black Betty out for some play time.

In listening at all the vids that is one thing on the CJ Pony Patys video that was noted.

Yep, Bill at CJ Pony did note a slight sound on the Magnaflow setup at 2000 rpm that he said was barely noticeable. I trust him but I would like to hear from customers-but like I said I might be the tester!

Going to order that MF catback tonight, had one on the GTI and drone wasn't bad stuff all. Deepest sound for sure and at that price, if they actually process the order, is a freaking steal. Have a feeling they won't process it though

The sound has A LOT of base to it, more so than is represented in the online vids that I previously posted/heard. It sounds different/better than it did when I first had it installed now that I have 3500 miles with it on. I love it myself obviously but not sure what kind of sound you are looking for. It's freezing out right now so I haven't done any windows down driving so I cant say if the turbo whistle can be heard over it.

Same here...magnaflow and borla have the best deep bass tone in my opinion. Magnaflow has sexy tips also

I wish i could here them all in person.. But the Magnaflow seems like it sounds good in the videos.. But hard to tell. Plus i do like Magnaflows tips!
