2020 GT500 gets a closed airbox filter. Maybe they did the R&D correct this time comparing it to the GT350.

On my 2013, I only went with a performance filter in the stock box. All the CAI units available were open tops. My 19 has a Roush CAI because it is a closed system and uses the existing radiator wall opening.

Get a Procharger, it comes with a cold air suck tube. Or, if you really want "cold air", get a water/meth system. Nothing compares to chemical cooling.

I recently installed the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 kit which comes with a GT350 “hot air intake” setup.
I just installed mine this weekend at a buddies and got to drive home in some fairly heavy rain. Have you done anything to protect the filter from taking in water?

It takes in cold air from outside the car, instead of air inside the engine compartment. Which is hot..!

Anything else..?

Yeah, my mechanic told me I need to replace the dickfor on both sides. Do you know anything about this?
My mechanic friend Lisa said that goes in the front or the rear, not the sides.

It's a wonder how all those muscle cars from the 60's and 70's made horse power with an open element air filter on top of the carb?

We ran our fastest ET by taking the lid and filter off but leaving the baseplate on ;)
