Anyone in here installed a CJ with Lund tune and had problems with their A/C not blowing cold? Any ideas why this would be happening?

Sounds like the variable valve timing to me. Too much cam advance and/or overlap and the spark tables aren't jiving and it is stumbling/misfiring. It could also have to do with the lack of IMRC and the airflow/cams/spark are wrong.

My car is bone stock and I can make it do the exact same thing. Point being, it's in the tune.
sounds exactly like I would guess if VCT was not optimized for an intake with out IMRC and left as a stock intake manifold that uses IMRC in those RPM ranges under light acceleration. 100% tune side.

It sure makes a lot of sense, the excuse I get is m, oh it's the throttlebody, or mechanical. Car only has 2500 miles.

well im on a mission to figure out how to properly tune these cars for my self and spread that information to as many people as I can. It doesnt matter to me if it goes to backyard mechanics or major tuners as long as if someone is tuning their car its a good tune. Lets eliminate bad tunes by working together and sharing information. I come from tuning GM and Subarus. Subarus open source tuning has spoiled me and I hate people complaining about tuning that they pay hard earned money for.

It could be unrelated to the CJ. If you have the front/bumper mount UPR catch can double check the compressor plug at the front that crosses over the can. I've forgotten to plug it back in after removing the can to drain it...

Open source would be perfect, but the fact of the matter is this. We all want free Medicare, but it is as well a business!

So many business in the mustang world have to make money. Mustangs, being a favorite car to modify, and ford does sell a lot of them. Business capitalize on it.

When the whole "newness" of the car finally subsidies, then you will see a lot more flood in the market. More open sources per say. As they will be geared for the next generation.

We the consumer always loose. Small occasions we win.

Of course. But hpt tuner is essentially opensource for us. Its just the knowledge isnt shared for these s550s. They arent the same to tune as the 11-14. But lile you said eventually the info will be out there. There is an hpt tuner forum same as the romraider forums.

Not just info for tunes but info for the tuning software creators. The info we discuss, observations we make, anything we see helps them make the tuning software better. The more people we have looking the better. sure people will capitalize on it but the quicker we figure things out the quicker we can all benefit. I just dont like waiting for other people to figure it out for me.

You sir, deserve a beer

I'll contribute as much as my tuner will allow (data logs, etc..). However, I'm running twin 65's, not the mono.

Yes it can. The previous coyotes were making 470s to 480s. This has better heads. Besides 500 is just a number. Care more about your trap speed. That tells you more.

Is not going to make 500whp with cj, long tubes and e85. I will bet money on that! BTW the only guys making 480whp with a cj long tubes and supporting mods are using FTW FUEL that cost 175 $ for 5 gallons. The fuel Ben Calimer is using. That fuel is known to make 20whp over e85.
