Hey guys, hope everyone had a safe and nice New Years.
i have a 17’ gt350 and I’ve recently come across an issue that I just can’t seem to figure out. When out driving the car, afterreaching optimal operating temps, I started having some fun and going through gears when I realized the clutch pedal began vibrating vigorously. This only seems to happen when I begin pushing on the car and happens a few minutes into doing so. Slowing down and allowing the car to cooldown a bit results in the vibration going away but once I get back on it again, it’s back in a few minutes. I didn’t experience any clutch slipping or any decrease in performance, nevertheless, I won’t be inclined on driving the car until it’s resolved. I did notice that if I take it out of gear and have it sit in neutral, it still vibrates until it cools down again.
on top of all this, I did notice a “squeaking” or “ringing“ sound when the car is idling at a stop and not in gear. It goes away when the clutch is compressed or in gear and I’d like to say that it’s not there when moving in gear but hard to tell.
could this be the hydraulic fluid? Pretty sure brake fluid is shared among the master and slave cylinder but could be wrong
I’ve got an appointment for next week at my local Ford dealer but it would be cool to hear some insight from y’all before I drop her off.
Thanks for reading and I do apologize for any ignorance, not a ford technician lol.

Check break fluid reservoir.
How's shifting, does it change in any way from wat it was when the car was new?
May be time for a new clutch :frown:.

Honestly thought it could be at first but at only 29k, i doubt its the clutch and id like to think that im a competent enough driver who doesn't beat on the clutch hard.
Shifting, even during peak of this issue, has zero change from before and feels completely fine. I don't feel like the clutch is lipping nor any decrease in performance and drivability other than an annoying vibration under my left foot.

My other car's clutch bearing gave up at 115K miles.
It depends on driving habits. The most common clutch bearing failure is due to holding clutch pedal during stops.

sooooo, whilst I was dealing with this issue, I had the car in garage and knocked out doing my brakes a few days ago in the mean time. Whilst doing so, I flushed my brake fluid and added ford recommended motorcarft brake fluid. I did take it out again today and I honestly want to say it felt much better in the sense that the vibration has decreased but that could just be a placebo effect but I did notice that the old brake fluid had a noticeable color difference from the brand new fluid. It is also important to note that I did flush the fluid directly from the slave cylinder because during the time, the thought of it being the fluid didnt cross my mind nor did I know as of then that most likely the brake fluid and clutch fluid is shared.

Only once warm? ....
Steam/moisture/air in hydraulic clutch line?
I would bleed the clutch master/slave thru and see if fluid looks moisture rich or air.
Failing slave also totally possible.

I should rephrase, not when the car is in optimal operating temps but when I begin winding out the gears and getting upwards of 200 degrees fahrenheit is when it begins vibrating. Once I let it cool down a bit, im able to do a few full throttle pulls without any vibration then... repeat.

Like someone mentioned, water/moisture in the fluid. It'll boil at 212 degrees, which is exactly when you're saying you feel the vibration.

I agree, im really starting to think thats the cause of the issue.

also! its important to note that ive also been noticing this strange sound at idle and goes away when the clutch is compressed. cant tell if it persists when in gear and moving but heres the link to the video:

Now that sounds like a worn bearing, be it in the clutch or transmission.

Since we're on the topic of clutch issues,

I don't have this vibration problem but when I shift to 3rd gear sometimes it doesn't go in, just pops back. Like I have to try again and it goes in gear. All other gears work just fine. Any thoughts anyone?
