I find the stock shifter decent. Now in my 11 GT500, I notice the difference from the stock to MGW gen1 like night and day. Is it that much better in the 350 as well ?

Yes. Different world.
A little bit hard to get in rev the first few times.
Other than that, no complaints.

It feels like a glock. The shifter will move in the direction it is supposed to move. No "joystick" sensation at all.

I believe these cars come with some air in clutch, there are no bleaders. My clutch really sucked trying to get a smooth clutch release. vague engagement point now its better, did the clutch break in or bubbles out I don't know. I've bought steeda spring and stainless lines and height adjuster but have not installed. After I get my Custom driver seat built I might move the clutch pedal to left about inch then install lines and adjuster. As I'm on my third seat, removed the center console and removed the center section of door panels, no armrests. Eventually I'll get done.

As for the clutch, I am just getting used to it. Not a really big deal any more, strange at first. No perfect car built yet to the best of my knowledge, if one comes out PM me LOL.
GT350 is pretty damn good considering the cost, really incred

The clutch's engagement point is not causing me any drivability issues, but I agree that its weighting is too light for such a car - it's a GT350, not a Fiesta. I find that the shifter, however, is pretty good for a stock unit. It feels shorter and more precise than the C7's. Shift effort is a bit light, but that's nitpicking. The MGW must feel incredible, though.

An update on my car's clutch pedal feel.

The odometer passed 500 miles last week, so I've been running the car normally (i.e. over 4K rpm). Besides the original condition I described in the first post, I sometimes feel some buzz/vibration in the clutch pedal when shifting at mid-to-high rpm. It's felt over much of the pedal's travel. It's not severe, but it's certainly noticeable. Other times when shifting at a similar rpm, it feels somewhat normal. Also, when at rest, if I push the clutch pedal near or to the floor and rev the engine, I feel vibration in the pedal (similar to the original condition). Again, it's not severe, but noticeable.

Searching the forum, I don't see any complaints about clutch pedal vibration (except mine and its few responses), so it must be a non-issue for most owners. Thankfully, my clutch is otherwise functioning normally and not making any weird noises, so I'm going to chalk it up to an idiosyncrasy of my car. A trip to the dealer is likely a waste of time, since they usually tell you NVH stuff like this is considered normal.

I notice a little light buzziness in the pedal and shifter when shifting over 4000 rpms. But my 12 GT did much the same. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless it seems to start getting worse. This shifter is great compared to my 12 GT. I put a Barton shifter in it which shortened the throws a lot and narrowed the gates up - but that M82 transmission just wasn't a good transmission. Even with the longer throw this transmission and shifter is 100% better. I may try the Ford Racing short throw shifter someday. Not sure for my use that I need to spend $500 for the MGW shifter - but then I understand it's an easier install.

my opinion is air in line it will get better as air self bleeds, or you can put vacuum on reservoir also check the line to master cylinder do search lots on this

Interesting. I hope it does improve over time. I thought about air in the system, but the pedal is not spongey at all and the bite point seems normal/consistent. Unfortunately, I don't have a vacuum pump (or the experience) to bleed the system. I didn't notice any pedal vibration for the first two to three hundred miles, then one day I felt what I described in the first post. The car is now at about 750 miles.

I did see the thread regarding the line to the master cylinder. I checked mine the first night I had the car. It was backed off a little, but was not leaking. I pushed it back on, but I did not bottom it out (the line would have been too tight). It has since backed itself off a little and angled down slightly, still no leak.

Awwwww, the car just has "personality." Every car is different. You should read the discussion on Toyota Tacoma forums about the clutch. First there are the auto and manual camps which thankfully we don't have. Then squeaky clutches. Then people overthinking shift points. When Toyota dropped the 4.0 liter and went to the 3.5 liter people didn't like the lack of low end torque. And on and on....

The GT350 buzzes, vibrates, hisses, roars; it makes all kinds of noises. It has what some call a goofy clutch and others wonder why there isn't a gear between 5th and 6th. How come the exhaust valves close in 6th?? And on and on.

For me, the GT350 is ALIVE. Just like your spouse, it make all sorts of noises. That's part of the allure.

First time I drove mine I remember thinking like holy crap - where's the low end torque.

True again, but I have had many fast motorcycles, and they did the same thing.
I would rather have it build with a broad powerband. It is much easier to drive fast. You can turn it up and down like a dial.

It reminds me of my Honda CBRs.
I owned 2 CBR's also :) And a Yamaha R6 ... Good ol times.. No kids, no fear, just dragging knees on the streets and track.

Believe me, I knew I wasn’t buying an appliance type commuter car or some watered down sports car. I expected and wanted some personality. But you know, certain personality traits just bother you for some reason. Overall, the car is fantastic and has a lot of character. I even like the mild tram-lining. Other cars feel lifeless by comparison. The GT350 feels alive, I agree.

I thought I'd post an update. The car has about 3K miles on it now, and over the last 500 to 1K miles, the clutch pedal vibration issue has improved significantly. It's not perfectly smooth 100% of the time, but it's a lot more tolerable, now.
