Clutch pedal question.

I thought I'd post an update. The car has about 3K miles on it now, and over the last 500 to 1K miles, the clutch pedal vibration issue has improved significantly. It's not perfectly smooth 100% of the time, but it's a lot more tolerable, now.
Thanks for the update rj! I've had my car for about a week, and began noticing the vibration after letting her breathe in the higher rpms a couple of times. Good to know that it should settle down after a while.

I did feel that a bit when the car was new, especially due to the hard 2 stage spring in the clutch... I changed to Steeda spring and never felt it again.
I don't have an R but I agree. Coming from modified other cars I actually thought there was something wrong with the stock clutch in my 17. Replaced the double spring setup with the Steeda spring. Worlds better. I have no idea why Ford put the two-stage spring setup in these cars but once you change it over to the Steeda spring and/or spring and new perch I bet it goes away.

Shiftpoint,

When did you switch over to the Steeda setup? I got rid of the stock thing about 300 miles in!

One of those things where I probably didn't give it any though being stock, but changing the piece made me extremely cognizant of any weird feelings.

Mostly to get a better comparison in my mind between them. Another user asked if anyone else thought that the pedal returned slower with the steeda spring than the stock spring. I was never consciously aware of it, but that idea had been kind of brewing in my mind lately. The pedal has always seemed to have like a 15% dead area at the very top with the new spring, even though it returns completely. I could totally be imagining this though and when I put the stock springs back in I may revert back to the steeda spring immediately.
Mine also has a very light or dead area at the top of the clutch travel.
What I found is that there is a button/switch at the very top end of the clutch travel (I have no idea what it's for). My switch takes a bit of force to depress so it resist the light clutch spring giving it a feeling of numbness. If I gently release the clutch all the way to the switch, it will actually hold the clutch pedal out not depressing the switch. However, if I release the clutch quickly it will swing up with enough force to engage the switch.
