Would anyone know if replacing the strong,OEM clutch pedal spring with a softer spring would void the Ford warranty?

I wouldn’t worry about that at all if I were you. If you ever have to take it in for warranty work, just put the factory one back in until the warranty work is complete and then switch back to the lighter spring.

It won't void the car's warranty. The Magneson-Moss act prevents this. If the aftermarket part is proven to have caused another factory part to fail...that is the only part for which the factory can void the warranty. Example, after market alarm shorts and damages electronics. Those electronics may no longer be covered, but the rest of the car is.

Put the spring in - enjoy the car.

I installed the steeda spring in my car today and Tbh, I don’t think the dealer would have any idea that you swapped the spring. I had the spring in my Focus RS and took it in for work a few times without issues. I think you’ll be safe.

Is the spring perch kit worth getting while doing the spring?

I don’t know the correct answer to that question, but I did both. I assumed that if Steeda designed a new perch, it would have been because they felt it was stronger than the factory perch and would also compliment their spring.

We offered this solution because a replacement perch through your local dealer is almost 2x as much - since you have to purchase the full kit.

Its peace of mind that you have 2x chances to get it right (re-using the OE or moving to our replacement unit) because it gets a little tricky to install.

Hope that helps!

I would do the perch. I was very careful and my OEM unit cracked on way out. Just do it all at once for peace of mind.

I also was crazy happy with the investment.

I did the spring and the perch (I broke my OEM perch in the process IIRC). I had my car in for a throttle body replacement not long ago, and the tech noticed the different pedal feel and asked me about it. Not in a bad way, just "hey, did you put in a new clutch?"
