So I thought I'd be cleaver and interrupt the simple two-wire clutch pedal position switch with a kill switch to prevent an amateur from stealing my car. ( It actually prevented two previous theft attempts with other cars.) However, unlike the historical safety function of this position switch used on just about every car with a manual transmission, it no longer serves a purpose on my Mach 1 other than illuminating the green light on the starter button when the clutch is fully depressed. You can remove the switch and it has no bearing on starting the car, it's the clutch apply rod position switch (4-wire connector that's part of the same clutch pedal harness) that communicates with the vehicle's computer(s) to allow the car to start. This change in function isn't described in the service manual or wiring diagram.

Anyways you could post the diagrams to this circuit. I have 2019 wiring diagrams but they don't have the extra switch. I

Things were so much simpler when circuits were hard wired instead of having computers managing the actual controls. The first diagram is basically a useless 2-wire pedal switch circuit that controls the green light illuminating the starter button. The second diagram has the 4-wire clutch rod sensor and that's what appears to determine if the clutch is depressed enough before allowing the car to start. I don't know what wire or combination of wires to interrupt so feel free to comment. Thanks. .

Take this with a grain of salt.
I think the one to interrupt is the blue (BU). It seems to be the only one that goes to the neutral position sensor/engine controls. The other 3 go straight to the transmission.
Were I interested in trying this, that's the one I'd go for first.
It's a signal wire though and they can be finicky so I'm not sure I would mess with it.

Interesting topic…. Back in the 82-93 Mustang Fox era, the SSP’s used in some States with the manual T5 trans had a clutch interrupt installed. The way it worked was if the car was left running and someone tried to jump in and take off, once the clutch or brake was depressed it would kill the car (engine off) and the car couldn’t be restarted until the interrupt was turned off by the hidden bypass…

Maybe change your tactics...I'm sure you could do a simple relay for the fuel pump circuit to have the same effect.
