I used to put the trim shine-slime on the black plastic... no more!
Like others who suffer, I am always trying to find a better product and the "trim situation" has been frustrating over the years to say the least. All the good "wipe" solutions are fine, they just don't hold up for very long.

Then, on the recommendation of another member, I've tried CarPro Reload and Dlux on the vinyl trim. Better for sure but again, neither seemed to last as long as expected and water shedding was reduced.

So on @Goose17's rec., I've ordered some of the Adam's Graphene. Didn't see the benefit of the "Advanced" version with "40%" for another forty bones compared to the basic version at 30%. Odd that this chemical cannot be shipped by air..anyone know what's up with that? I get "Dangerous Goods" but this doesn't seem to fit.

Meanwhile, I will report back on the coating when completed.

Let me know how you like it.

If you’ve used trim slime previously, make sure to thoroughly clean it prior to the ceramic application. My plastic hadn’t received any dressings prior to the ceramic.

WAT? Reload and DLUX are 2 very different products. DLUX didn't last long for you? Or did you just not like the finish?

It lasted over a year on my Raptor plastics and kept the deep darkness and shine for that long too. Only had that Raptor for a year but I'm sure it lasted longer.

Maybe it just didn't work well on vinyl for you?

Torchy: Dlux does the job but as you suggested, it doesn't leave the finish that I prefer. I used Reload on top of the Dlux to see if it would help, it didn't.

I want the "wiped/wet" look and hence giving the Adam's graphene a try.

Yep, LOTS of different solutions have been on that vinyl since Feb '20, Goose. :-) I'll use Eraser and panel wipe on them first before applying the Adam's product.

When I do the waterless wash, I usually top the car off with the Zaino Gloss Enhancer over the whole car, minus the tires and windows. No greasy feel and they are nice and clean.
Protection,.......that's another story.
