Saw this video and thought I’d share.
The Source Garage wheel stands are the ones I really wanted when I was looking for one. Shipping to Australia was prohibitively expensive though. What I like about his version is that it can be configured to suit your wheels or personal preferences.

I also love how this was the brainchild of a young bloke making things happen not some huge soulless corporation.

I had never seen that clip, D, nor had I heard about Source Garage but I can see why you might have preferred one of their products. Even so, I think your help with the one we have will do the trick for me, just haven't had a need to dismount the wheels.

Obsessed Garage have only just started to sell them. He actually tried one out a few years ago in a few videos. I'm guessing he was waiting until the updated version was ready.

Definitely seems over the top, aside from the price. I saw those allthreads and immediately thought, fuhgeddaboudit, I'd have holes in my arms. What do I see next from Matt? Yep, cutting and capping them. I had to laugh.

Meanwhile, I'm mildly interested to see how the one I have performs, face in. T'anks, dude.

I just received my wheel stand from The Source Garage (CycloShine 3.0 spinning base with vertical rollers). I wanted to make cleaning and ceramic coating my new wheels a bit easier. I’ve attached a few photos of it assembled to show clearances with a Signature Wheels SV104 with a 315/30/20 tire.

First impressions:
1) Fast delivery after ordering
2) Box was packed well
3) Good parts quality
4) Should be able to accept a 345 mm-wide tire
5) *Shouldn’t* mar my wheels if the tire were to walk when spinning (see third photo)

I mounted the vertical rollers so that only about 1/4” of thread was exposed after tightening the nut for the top of the rollers and the bottom of the all-thread was about 1/8” above the bottom plate to allow for easy rotation of the lazy susan. Obviously, the all-thread could be shortened to lower the rollers, if desired. The rim protector of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S prevents the rollers from touching the wheel surfaces. There is about 1/4” of clearance between the spoke and the roller with the tire square against the rollers, in case the wheel walked while spinning.

Now, I can prep and ceramic coat these wheels! A job for tomorrow…

the key is to get as much off with soap and water or some other chemical before you use a mitten. you need something to lubricate the surface while mechanically latching on to the particles of brake dust. i've always just used soap and water.

no brushes on black wheels!
