I also used a sawzall. No problem with access. CJPP has a good install video.

So mine are due this week and I'm not sure if I should 'rent' a pipe cutter from AZ or buy a cheap sawzall for the job. Advice anyone?
You can pick up a chain type exhaust pipe cutter for about $20. It will give you a perfect square cut, much cleaner than a sawzall

FWIW, I had been considering this exhaust for my Ecoboost, when I saw it on sale for $267 I jumped on it, it came yesterday.

I have Friday off so I plan to install it then. I will report back after the install.

Like one of these? I can't find any for $20 on Amazon looking briefly, but I might go that route if a quote to put a cut and clamp x-pipe is too high.

Link doesn't work but the Gear Wrench one for $34 looks like the one I have. I have had mine for quite a few years so I suppose the price has gone up.

Okay...I found the drawback of these axle backs. Less traction due to less weight on the rear tires ;)
Those stockers are heavy sobs.
I'm digging the low rumble, a lot.

I got mine in mail yesterday, surprisingly with no delay, being under a level 2 snow emergency. They look great! Can't wait until spring when I can install them.

I get antsy too. I have a spare stock GT exhaust that I had on my V6 sitting against the wall, in front if my Miata. My Miatas battery is In my basement for the winter. Too much work to get the exhaust out, so spring time it is.

Yes on the sound tube...thinking I may have to reinstall my rear seat backs since I can hear my exhaust now.

Well I installed the exhaust this morning. All in all very easy install about 30 minutes total.

A little louder at startup than I would prefer but quiets down when the idle comes down where you get a nice deep burble. Cruising it is quiet, almost like stock with no drone. When you get on it speaks right up without being obnoxious. Backing off you get some entertaining pops and crackles. All.in all I am very satisfied.

Worth mentioning I had replaced the resonator sometime ago with a Y pipe so I have a complete cat back that cost less than $400.

I'm interested to hear how this sounds on an ecoboost. Have any videos?

Been driving with the CJPP axle back for a few weeks or maybe a month now. Continue to really enjoy the sound, definitely NO drone at all. Cold-start is much louder than stock but really isn't that bad. No neighbors have complained about it and my wife actually likes it, which is definitely a plus.

I really enjoy downshifting and listening to the exhaust now. It does not burble, pop or crackle, just sounds deep and bass-y.
Are you on the stock exhaust other than the mufflers?

Nevermind. I see that you are.
