You can pick up a chain type exhaust pipe cutter for about $20. It will give you a perfect square cut, much cleaner than a sawzallSo mine are due this week and I'm not sure if I should 'rent' a pipe cutter from AZ or buy a cheap sawzall for the job. Advice anyone?
Like one of these? I can't find any for $20 on Amazon looking briefly, but I might go that route if a quote to put a cut and clamp x-pipe is too high. You can pick up a chain type exhaust pipe cutter for about $20. It will give you a perfect square cut, much cleaner than a sawzall
Well I installed the exhaust this morning. All in all very easy install about 30 minutes total.FWIW, I had been considering this exhaust for my Ecoboost, when I saw it on sale for $267 I jumped on it, it came yesterday.
I have Friday off so I plan to install it then. I will report back after the install.
Are you on the stock exhaust other than the mufflers?Been driving with the CJPP axle back for a few weeks or maybe a month now. Continue to really enjoy the sound, definitely NO drone at all. Cold-start is much louder than stock but really isn't that bad. No neighbors have complained about it and my wife actually likes it, which is definitely a plus.
I really enjoy downshifting and listening to the exhaust now. It does not burble, pop or crackle, just sounds deep and bass-y.
We have a shipment due in the next week and then more coming in at the end of the month.I was going to buy this today but they are on backorder....
