Chrome Trim For Windows?

A few weeks ago, I saw an S550 GT that had chrome trim around the side windows, that also went around the quarter windows, forming an almost seamless detail all the way around the two side windows.

It may sound silly to be asking about chrome trim in 2017, but it looked absolutely fantastic. It made the car look even more like a baby Aston Martin.

Where'd it come from? Who makes it?

I checked American Muscle and couldn't find it.

Standard on some Eurospec cars, like the picture you shared, and on the 50th Anniversary cars.

I think it looks great on some colors. It's on the Pony Package for EcoBoost Premiums, but it also comes with a chrome grill that looks awful. Also I believe the window trim is standard on all export RHD models. From the leaked Bullitt screenshots it looks like it also will have it, which I'm guessing is a throwback to the chrome trim window surround on 67 and 68 fastbacks.

Probably holds up better than the black trim, easier to detail.

Yes this is on the Pony pack which I have. I didn't think people noticed it that much as i have only had 2 people point it out specifically. One was a dealer salesman who asked if I had applied the chrome myself hahahaha. Personally I really like the pony pack grill on my black car. I don't think it would look good on many other colors but in my case it was actually a selling point for me.

Also the Pony Pack grill isn't really chrome its more of a brushed aluminum type finish. I think its the same (or very close) to the California special grill just in silver instead of black and I love the CS, but an S550 CS was out of my budget price and insurance wise. Then when I saw the Pony Pack grill I loved it.

I definitely think I am in the minority though as I have seen almost exclusively hate for the Pony Pack on M6G. Its gotten me a few compliments in real life though as I mentioned. If you really want to see the ugliest of the S550 mustangs front ends look up one with the pony pack AND adaptive cruise control. You lose the bottom grill to the adaptive CC grill and that just looks dumb to me.

I love the chrome trim, I have it on my car myself. I know on Magnetic it makes a huge difference. Should have been standard and not just on 50th anniversary cars.

Almost nobody makes it. I got mine from AliExpress. Took a month or two to get and the order process was a little sketchy, but you can see from my pics I got it and its been great!
