I ordered from Chapman and they are 350 miles away. Ordered by e mail mostly. My name was on the order. No deposit. About 5 months later my Mach 1 came in as ordered. Sent a wire for payment and paperwork done in less than 10 minutes when car was at dealer.. No pressure, no scams etc... Local dealers want $5-10K ADM. I was 4% under invoice like quoted. Ordering is easy, waiting is another thing, LOL.

I am not entirely sure, but I was skeptical and like you talked to my local dealer about it. With that said Chapman Ford is legit and honored their pricing. I picked up my Mach 1 from them last month, I got 4% under invoice on the Mach when everyone else was charing $5000 ADM at the least. So I got my car for $10,000 less than other dealers were charging.

I would not hesitate to give either your business.

Dealers can be snakes...

Couple years ago my wife wanted a new 4 Runner. So I did the math and figured out what I wanted to pay for the vehicle and the exact option package she wanted. Off we went to the closest dealer. They laughed and said no way. Basically walked us out. Went to another dealer and they at least came back with a counter offer. We left.

The next weekend we were 2 hours away at my brothers and decided we’d drop in to the small local Toyota dealer as were right there. Sales Manager comes over and asks what we were looking for and told him a 4 Runner. He says to sit down and the receptionist brings over coffee for us. I told him straight up we may not be there long enough to drink it. I told him exactly what we wanted and what we wanted to pay. He basically looked at me and asked what colour we wanted. No hesitation. No counter offer. Nothing. He started typing away on his computer and the deal was done. Coffee was still hot by the time the handshakes were done.

Funny thing is, this dealer and the first dealer that laughed us out of the dealership are owned by the same guy.

In This case, it wasn’t the dealership owner’s policy, but rather the sales manager making the call.

If I was in the US, I’d be seeking Granger out. I can’t say that I’ve read any negative reviews or things not going well. At least on this board... if there was a negative experience, it would be posted here...

This has been extensively discussed. If they can't do it, then they would not be in the business today. The question is why other dealers won't do it. I guess it is easier and lazy to do a couple a month with a huge ADM added rather than juggle several customers at a time all the time. In the Mach 1 forum, I believe @Zach@Granger discussed the number of Mustangs they move per year.

This is all plus business for us. Margins are VERY slim and it certainly helps if you can finance with ur and purchase any service contract or aftermarket add on to help make some margin. But the hope is we can gain some market share and more GT500s, etc so we can make margin on those vehicles.

I am awaiting a quote from Granger, and hopefully that hits my inbox in the morning. Dealers around here are not willing to even discuss going below MSRP right now. One told me he would, and he did, but tacked on a whole bunch of fees and low balled the trade. Lame.

Do any of them take trade-ins? I'm tempted to order an M1+HP, for my low mi PP2...

That's the old joke, right? "How can we sell it at a loss? We make it up in volume!"

There's actually some truth to that - when domestic dealers sell a car, they get a holdback. Let's call it 5%. If they meet certain sale thresholds, like say 1000 cars in a month, they get 6% back, not just on the cars over 1000 but on all of them. At least that's my understanding, please correct me if I am wrong.

These days, with the market as it is and sales how they are with reduced production, some of those incentives may be reduced. And of course, there are different incentives for different parts of the country. But in my mind, even before the lockdowns and viruses, 3% under invoice was a good deal.
...you have Harley dealers tell you the same thing. "We have to sell @ msrp!"

Look here at www.seedealercost.com and compare........................

Typically dealers make more profit on used cars, so I would presume that yes, they will take just about anything in on trade. Even a Chevy.

Simple high integrity good business always wins in the mid to long term.

Unfortunately for Ford, they don't monitor their customer experiences like other brands so the reputations they spent decades building and $100s M now getting wiped out by horrific dealer experience, late deliveries and long shop lead times.
Truth.

A friend works at the local Chevy dealer. Because of the current lack of inventory, they have a barely used Mach-E sitting front and center on the showroom floor.

Pretty sure the standard Ford holdback is 3% then you add volume and incentive discounts.

I ordered a Bronco Sport from Grainger last Nov. Now it's on a train somewhere between AZ and Iowa. Getting close after a couple of build delays!!
Grainger has been really good to work with.
One local dealer I started with gave us a "no haggle" trade in value and a "no haggle" price on the Bronco was over 3k off the mark.
I sold the car out right and bought from Grainger.
That was in Oct. The manager at the local dealer called and left a message a couple of weeks later. I called him back and left a message. He never called back. The salesman called me in January!!... Asking if I was still interested in getting a Bronco Sport!!
My son and I were shopping for a used F250. Most of the dealers didn't respond, even if they sent robo emails saying they wanted to win our business.
Got a really nice truck from a really nice dealership, Mark's Auto Mart in Fort Doge Iowa.

I was skeptical also. Until I did it. I bought my '17 GT from one of the big out-of-state dealers that does most of it's business online - because they had the exact configuration I wanted (probably more likely when you have 50+ Mustangs available).

Perfect transaction, 95% completed online, flew in the night before, salesman picked us up at the hotel in our new car, we were on the road home in an hour. No clue how they do it, but that sales model works for them, and I paid less than I would have elsewhere. Win-win. :like:
