Do what you want to your car, you are the one paying the bills on it, make it your own, don't even listen to the bogus posts trying to call people posers because they put on a hood or a spoiler that came on another Mustang model. The whole point of the car culture is to make it your own, if you like the looks of a specific hood, spoiler or whatever do it, the car is yours and you are the one who needs to enjoy it every time you look at it and drive it.

Pull up pictures of performance cars from the 60's and 70's there was none of the BS poser talk, people made their cars their own and no one went around calling others posers.
I built my Mustang in my garage, I installed a set of wilwood brakes on the front, everyone has Brembo's, I purchased a set of Ford Performance Bullitt rear calipers and brackets because they come powered coated the same shade of red the wilwood calipers are. I have steeda suspension components on my Mustang. I installed a larger intercooler, larger charge pipes, a cold air intake from Roush Performance, a Go Fast Bits diverter valve, a high flow cat 3 inch down pipe, a Borla cat back S Type active exhaust to replace the Ford Active exhaust. The car has a pro tune using a COBB tuner.

I purchased a set of SVE DHP1 Forged rims for a lighter stronger rim, I went with a staggered set up 19X10 in front and 19X11 in the rear, for tires I went with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 285/35/R19 front and 325/30/R19 rear.

I installed a Ford Performance PP2 front splitter kit, a Cervini GT500 hood, a Ford Performance GT500 spoiler which was also used on the GT350 and the MACH 1, I also installed the Ford Performance rear seat delete kit so it is OEM quality, I also installed a Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter. I also installed a set of aluminum rear window louvers.

I opened up the top and bottom grilles for more air flow. I could care less if I offend someone who bought a GT500, GT350, MACH 1, Dark Horse or any other model. I made the car mine, it looks great and gets lots of attention at car shows, GT's are a dime a dozen at car shows and believe it or not so are Shelby GT500's, they are not unique there will always be several of them at car shows.

Make your Mustang yours and enjoy the living hell out of it, trust me if you don't one day you will look back and regret it. I am 65 years old now and could care less what others think, if they are that insecure that they have to call other people posers because they built a car that they enjoy that is their problem.

Walk your own path and don't be part of the heard of sheep.

Thank you, I love all cars. I love it when people make them their own, it is what makes cars fun and you can get ideas for your own upgrades seeing what others have done to their own cars. That is why I love going to open car shows because the cars will usually have something different than everyone else's.

Performance cars are meant to be fun and they are meant to be driven. As Carroll Shelby said these cars were made to drive so drive them.

I went ahead with the Stalker hood, it looks the best I think. It is due to arrive this week, then it's paint and install. I'll share pics after I get it done. Excited!
Cervini makes a quality product, I am very happy with mine, I had Cervini paint it so they did all the prep work that is needed to paint a bare part. They charge today an extra $619 dollars to paint the top side of the hood, they will also paint the underside if you want and I think that was another $500 if I remember right, I only choose to have the top side painted on mine, I think they look fine unpainted on the underside.

Here is mine unpainted on the underside.

Kinda a noob with hoods, why would one get a heavier fiberglass hood when the aluminum is available for under $1k and is much lighter? The anti corrosive benefits of the fiberglass are attractive yes, but of all 15+ vehicles i've ever owned all the hoods were aluminum and they were just fine.
I actually had no intention of replacing my GT350 hood and then we had a freak hail storm in June for Colorado. Destroyed my OEM hood and not cost effective to repair. So I bought the BBSParts Aluminum GT500KR and was told it would fit my GT350 front end. It doesn't its designed for a regular GT not the GT350 front fenders. So then I ordeed the Cervini GT500 style hood for the GT350. As stated nice hood and good quality. I expected it to be slightly heavier than the OEM aluminum, but not nearly as heavy as it actually is. That's even without the rain tray and louvers installed. Those are both cast out of stiff urethane, so they are not exactly light either. It's not the end of the world and I am happy with the quality of the Cervini and it will get installed, just surprised with the overall weight of it. I have Cervini hoods on my 2004 F250, 2005 F150, 1986 Mustang GT, and previously on my 98 Cobra, and 1985 Mustang GT and none of them have ever been this heavy.

My Cervini GT500 GT350 hood is just in gray gel coat top and bottom. Maybe yours is in black gel coat, but I wonder if they actually sprayed the underside in black after painting the top. I could be wrong, just find it interesting that yours is black and all my other Cervini hoods have been in gray gel coat or even a non tintet gel coat. Never had one with black. Hood looks great and so does the Mustang! Congrats!

Hmm wonder if they use a different gel coat to help keep the GT500 hoods separate, since the GT350/500 hood is unique to the 2015-2020 GT350s. Or maybe they just had black gel coat that week. LOL

I have the same hood but pre-facelift. I agree, Cervini quality is pretty darn good for a molded fiberglass product. Mine came in gelcoat gray on both sides.

I can't quite get your pics big enough to see the edges very clear. Did they clean and smooth out the grinder marks on all the edges before they painted it? Not just the underside of the seam but the sides edges too? Mine were pretty rough but I ordered mine un-painted and prepped it out perfect before it was primed and painted on both sides.

And OMG it is heavy!

Having got the new hood in (it's being painted now) I noticed there isn't a grille / lathe / mesh for the ram air opening. Kinda goofy without one. Anyone combat this? seems as If could get some plastic lathe (not sure where though) and contact cement / glue some in for a much better look. Suprised Cervini's doesn't include this.
