This made me chuckle. A man with the same logic as me. "I'm gunna buy it one day anyway, may as well buy it now"Ha ha, I used to be like that! I just do it now, otherwise I just spend weeks wanting/procrastinating only to end up doing it anyway. You only live once, just get on with it................
I must say, the oem wheels look incredible when they are all properly cleaned up. I've always really liked them. Not sure whether that's because I genuinely like them, or I know I can't afford a whole new set for a long time haha
Mine are what you could consider "battered", plenty of wash induced marring, contaminated, paint chipped - I'm now at 31k miles. I thought many times about investing in a wheel stand to do something similar to the above and see to the paint chips, but impatient as I am, I've booked in to have the wheels properly resprayed. Start from fresh. I intend to coat them too, not sure with what yet.
Maintenance will then be easier, and in the future I'm sure I'll end up with a wheel stand!
Oh, and I've also decided to have my calipers painted red!
