Most guys on here that run a Centri seem to have an A10, I dont hear a lot of people running an 6-speed with a Centri setup. Which im being told by a few people,, 1 being the folks that will be doing the install and tune that a PD blower runs better than the centri on a manual.

For about $7500 I can run a Whipple stage 2 kit, good to 850hp, and sounds like its easier to dial in. How much would I spend to make that power with a ProCharger setup? What about knock and tuning issues? I still haven't bought a unit yet so im still open to any and all opinions, but so far PD is seeming to be the better choice for me.
Like stated earlier, I run a centri with a manual and love it as many others do too. Yes, you will need a fuel system which will be $2000 for a good one. Don’t skimp on the other supporting mods I listed in previous posts within this thread and you will be happy. Either PD, centri or turbos will serve you fine. Currently, my D1x with a 4” pulley flat rips at any respectable rpm range and I would not change a thing. The idea a centri is less than desirable on a manual down low or any other time throughout the rpm range is simply inaccurate. A P1x with a small pulley would yield similar results. I run MT drag radials that I need to warm up prior to making a pull or even in 3rd gear they will spin as reference. That is also at 18lbs of pressure. I wouldn’t call my car sluggish anywhere. Well thought out parts with a good tune will put a smile on your face. I wouldn’t get so caught up in a,b or c or you eventually you experience paralysis through over analysis.

$5500. Because I will sell you a P1x kit for $5500 that makes over that. I’m thinking about going turbo. Let me know.

If I did go with a ProCharger setup, what would I need to hit 750whp? P1X? D1X? What options in the kit? Stage 2 tuner kit? Would I need a return style fuel system?

And for Jackson, I prefer buying parts new just because I can 100% confirm there's no miles on the parts, no abuse, etc. Not saying that you abused it or anything or that there's anything wrong with it, I would personally rather just spend more for peace of mind.

You can hit 750 with a p1sc HO kit. I'd recommend the P1x stage 2 setup and intercooler. Swap the bypass valve for a tial bov or similar. I recommend the return style fuel system, at least dual pump. You can make the power you want without it, but just get it done.

You only need a P1X. P1X can give up to 950RW. 750RW can be done on 93 octane, but any more will require a return fuel system and E85 to be reliable. D1X will take away a fair amount of low-mid range power, and is really better for 900HP-1100HP builds. I'm at about 850RW on E85. See sig.

And there's several kits, but it doesn't really specify the difference between them much. Some say "with factory airbox". Whats the difference?

Factory airbox kits are the CARB kits. These utilize the 6 rib factory belt too. They move the blower between the radiator and engine in a hotter area. Not great at all, just a compromise. Better to get the stage 2 with dedicated 8 rib drive, and cooler location if possible. This is the kit I bought, I also bought the much larger MAK hurricane intake.

IF I go the Centri route, and still weighing my options probably Terry @ beefcake. He has been super helpful and has great pricing.
I bought my kit from Terry also. Best prices.

w3ablak91,

Define your HP goals then compile a build sheet. My set is simple, but I'm not making earth shattering HP.

I have the stage II P1X with the 4.75" pulley (awesome Coyote head unit, btw) with 1,1103 CC intercooler, ID1050X injectors, no BAP, no return fuel system, just a simple basic non-intrusive street set up.

My tuner said I had plenty of fuel running 93 with the stock fuel pump. I'm happy with the estimated 620 - 630 whp. At my HP level my 10R80 should stay healthy and my stock cats should last a long time (I hope).

Still can't hook 100% below 40 mph with my 305, Nitto 555R2's.

Got my System from Terry at Beefcake, his service was exemplary.

I don't believe you needed to change injectors at all with your setup.
