Center splitter section removal

My dealer did not install the 45 degree bolts. Do they screw into the body or are there supposed to be clips there?

They screw to the body.

Actually, when you know the trick, it ain't that bad. In the end, no banging was required in my case.

Back from the dead to ask... what's the trick? Trying to take mine off, but like yours it doesn't want to budge.

As I stated in # 11, don't try to pull it straight out, start from one side and work your way across. It will release one clip at a time with much less effort.
