here is my magnet on the inside of the back cover of my G3. battery is right behind it. no issues, no worries, and nfc still works.

Yep, I did the same on the inside of my S5. No issues with any functions, and you can't even tell it's there at all. It's fantastic.

With the rubber on the magnetic mount itself, the phone doesn't budge an inch even under heavy autox abuse, and it's much much smaller and less of an ugly eye sore than any of those other mounts.

I use one or two of these that clip to the vent. They hold just fine and the A/C blowing on the phone keeps it ice cold even when running Waze while charging the battery.

I normally keep mine in my pocket or cup holder, nothing I need it for while driving. However I want to use it as a poor man's GoPro for when I'm at the strip so for $20 I picked this up at Fry's electronics. Mounted to the pass side windscreen down near the dash with a mf towel under the phone to absorb the vibrations. Works like a charm. Made by Macally.

lol, it really a flexible arm. I have it formed into an 'S' to hold my phone when attached to the windshield. I'll have to take a pic of it in use. I would need a cell phone to take a pic of my cell phone.......;)

Another SCOSCHE Magic Mount user here. I absolutely love it. It came with two magnets, so one in my phone and one in my wife's phone. It holds my big Note 4 without issue so I can use Waze as my GPS.

For those worried about sticky residue, it's not really a big deal. I initially put the mount in a location that ended up not working. I let the car sit in the sun for a day and gently pulled it away. A little bit of goo gone and it was like it was never there.

Does your cell phone have a spinning magnetic hard drive? Otherwise no issues at all ;)

Another vote for the Scosche MagicMount. You can place the phone for navigation or anything else in the perfect viewing angle.

I bought this scosche mount and it holds an Ipad Mini w/o a case with the big metal plate no problem. Also, an iphone with the Otter Box Commuter case is held up with the big metal plate no problem as well =D good stuff

Even picked up a short.. lest the shortest iPhone cable i could find at the local drug store.

i don't have a pic but got one from another thread. the top part of the mount slides right under the panel. Just leave the backing on the tap on the top half and take the backing off the lower part of the tape. It won't go anywhere

generic windshield mount. If it has to charge, fast charger in front of the shifter for a bit, otherwise that is by the A pillar so Im not looking down if I have to

I've been using mounts from Pro Clip for several years in several different vehicles. Definitely easy to use, and very sturdy.
