Laser Brazing and Low Gauge Panels???
Laser brazing is probably replacing the old Silicone Bronze process of putting the roof on.
...and Low gauge panels... Something worth noting here. The hydro-forming process allows Ford to change the gauge of the metal used without ANY retooling for the stamping process. Reduced weight, cost, stronger, lighter and pretty awesome.I don't think the roof is Hydro-Formed but, you can see low gauge panels coming to newer cars. I would also bet that thinner glass is also being used (eventually at least).
