I had a blast today running country roads with two WRX STi's and a Nismo 370z and I did pretty well hanging with them! However there was definitely room for improvement.

I have a 2016 GT/PP with stock suspension and need some guidance on suspension mods. This is not my daily, but I'd still like a comfy ride when driving normal street. However I'd like to boost my road handling as much as possible otherwise.

Help please!

You're going to get a lot of differing opinions on this, and a lot of it depends on your budget. If you're willing to spend a lot of money, I would do coil overs and sway bars. Stepping down a bit, I would do springs, shocks and struts, and sway bars. If you're more budget oriented, I would do springs and sway bars.

You'll get a TON of opinions regarding springs (brand, progressive versus linear, and the actual performance worth of them), but you really can't go wrong with any of the major brands. I would definitely pair sway bars with springs, though. Personally, I have Eibach Sportlines (the perfect drop for these cars, IMO) and BMR sway bars paired with the Ford Racing shocks and struts. The car is composed and predictable, and can easily pull over a g on the street or track. Plus, as I said, the drop on the Sportlines is perfect for these cars.

A lot of people will also recommend the BMR cradle lockout kit, which I have as well. It's a fairly inexpensive suspension mod, and if you've got the money for it (I think I paid $150 or so), you might as well install it while you're doing everything else. Also, remember to have your car aligned at a competent shop or dealership after you install everything. I did not need any additional parts (camber bolts, etc.) for my alignment, but I went a little more aggressive than stock.

I hope his helps, and good luck with whatever you choose!

The performance pack is pretty capable.

Tires are the #1 factor for handling.
Then I'd recommend an alignment with camber plates for more front camber.
Then maybe adjustable shocks like the Koni or Steeda sets.
Then finally stiffer lowering springs (BMR handling springs) and stiffer swaybars.

Without great tires, the rest is almost wasted.
