Magnaflow resonated tru X
Cleans up the rasp and still louder but nicer .
Will adding the magnaflow resonated tru x still make my car louder than before the cat deletes? Because not gonna lie I want it to be a little louder than what it is now

It will be a tad louder but “cleaner “ than before even the cat deletes .
Do you have a 15-17 or 18-19?
I have an 18 with the active exhaust and I prefer to drive around in quiet mode cause I hate loud .

I have it in normal or sport /track at the strip as it seems to gain about 1 mph that way.

I'm on my second pair. Had them on my 15 now on my 19. Wouldn't waste money on LTH. I make between 740whp to 950whp depending on pulley size no problem.
How much power gain did you see with the MAK cat deletes

I would not run cats on an FI setup.
Yeah sure, there’s plenty of people not having dramas with them but there’s also some that have had dramas and paid for it dearly.
In my mind it’s like OPGs. Do you want to spin the wheel of misfortune or not?
Noise level?
I’m running a Magnaflow Street catback with 18” resonator per side and it’s ridiculously loud.
Too much. Far too much.

You can modify the Whipple tune with HP tuners. Turn off the rear 02s and disable COT.
There may be a little more to it (I’m not a tuner, just an absolute novice at best).

I would get my tune updated for a free-er flowing exhaust, just because someone else didn’t, doesn’t make it the correct path, at the very least ask your tuner. Spending money on a mod to free up the exhaust flow and not tuning to take advantage of the mod is wasted money.
Most manufacturers of LTH catted or not catted recommend a tune, doesn’t matter if N/A or boosted, less restricted flow = more flow = better combustion chamber evacuation = ability to take in a little more air and fuel, end result you will probably run a little lean, car runs a little hotter, may kill the motor.
Technical term is “Back pressure”, typically you want as little as possible. My SVO is a turbo car, simply going from a 3” down pipe to a 4” down pipe changed my tune drastically.

I currently have an active exhaust (stock) with an x-pipe. I am really happy with the volume. I was considering getting cat deletes or long tubes. What would be the best way to counteract the additional sound from removing the cats without restricting the exhaust?

The absolutly best way is to control that right foot or shift to a higher gear! Lol! Seriously though anything that dampens the sound is going to be a level of restriction, you jus have to decide what you can live with. Options are: add resonators, high flow cats, or different mufflers. Personally I want the exhaust as free flowing as possible, the noise doesn’t bother me until it attracts the attention of the police and with the ricers around here and their obnoxiously loud exhaust I’m not to worried about that either.

Just add 02 simulators and that will take care of the check engine light.

I'd like to hear long tubes with a cat delete and active exhaust. Quiet mode now is pretty good for quieting down when i need it.... I'd just like to make sure I can live with it before making the switch. I had a offrad x and outlaws on a 2014 and the drone was obnoxious....

I have the solo Mach xv exhaust which is a pretty quiet exhaust system compared to most. Once I removed the cats it became much, much louder. I enjoy the sound and can control it with my driving but when you go WOT you will wake some dead. For me the worst part is the cold start. When I use to leave for work at 4am I didn’t like taking the mustang because I didn’t want to wake all my neighbors. Even in my garage with the door down the cold starts are pretty loud, especially in the winter.
