My car is 2 and a half years old. I have twice had to call AAA to get me started. The 2 times were 6 months apart.
Yesterday was the second time. The weather was warm and I had just driven 40 miles. The AAA technician said he could not even test the battery as something was not switching off. There was no battery power to open the trunk, start the car, etc. The technician said it is "an electronic problem". He did get the battery going again.
Should I tell the dealer to correct the electronics? ---I hate being so vague with dealers, or should I try a new battery?
Right now the car is starting fine ----but I have been stranded twice

No warning lights
I had driven 40 miles; was sitting in the car relaxing (watching surfing). got out to open the trunk---it would not; tried to start the car---it could not
Has there been a technical notice about this?

do you have any aftermarket stereo equipment or anything else? If not I would take it to the dealer and tell them you have a 12V drain that is killing your battery.

Is your battery actually dying?
Sounds like the car is not recognising the key fob and is in "dead" mode.

Could it be the fob battery?
Couldn't hurt to change it, but since the instances happened 6 months apart, it might be a sensor issue.

Your display panel will tell you when the fob battery needs replacing also.

Intermittent problems like this are a PITA to diagnose.
