Car play sync

Has anyone had issues with Apple car play not syncing? I have the B & O system.

Mine will sync. Then at some random time I will turn off the car, get back in later and sync is gone. I'll forget phone, re add phone, remove from bluetooth turn off phone restart Iphone. Nothing. Then two days later after driving the car it will sync and be back in business on its own.

I read on here somewhere that Apple car play and Ford Mustangs are glitchy.

My B&O car will occasionally not connect to my phone. I find that rebooting the system fixes the issue. Also, try unlocking your phone before connecting the cable.

To reboot: press and hold the power button and the right seek button. The screen should go black and then restart with the Mustang logo. .

I did that a few times and nothing. I thought it was the phone but it worked in the other car I have. I will have to try it again and see

When I first purchased my 21 GT, it was a year and a half old. I was having problems connecting my phone to CarPlay, connecting the car to WiFi, and using the Ford navigation. The dealer first did a reflash, which did not solve the problem. Then they replaced some module, and that fixed all the issues. Good luck, I’m sure you will get it worked out.

I rarely have this issue but its happened a few times. What has worked is using the other USB port. If that doesn't work a reboot of Sync will usually fix it.

Glitchy is the word! I have similar issues. Tried all of suggestions below, not sure which one works! Leave USB plugged in and then connect phone. I changed the lead and that seemed to help.
It always seems to work next time I use it! but a brief engine switch off does not always work.

I did that a few times and nothing. I thought it was the phone but it worked in the other car I have. I will have to try it again and see

Sometimes it’s the cable that is faulty. Take that other car’s USB cable and try it in the Mustang

To be fair I have a 2021 Expedition and it has had a few issues not seeing my phone randomly. Then it will work amazing again. Seems to be no reasoning behind it, might just be a Carplay thing.

Purchase the best cable you can, I was having trouble with mine until my son pointed out the cable I was using was an Amazon special. He picked up a decent one from his work and it has been fine even since.

Actually have an anker cable. Reset it 3x and it worked.
