Hey all, I was at the dealer the other day to pick up a part and asked for an update on this recall. The service rep said there is a system update coming out mid June. I didnāt get any specifics, just that some kind of software update is coming. Figured Iād share with the group for those...
Interestingly enough, my recall has disappeared from my app as well. I called the dealer approximately six weeks ago, and they said that the parts were not available as of yet, but they would start calling customers when they were. Time for another call to the dealer I guess.
When I first purchased my 21 GT, it was a year and a half old. I was having problems connecting my phone to CarPlay, connecting the car to WiFi, and using the Ford navigation. The dealer first did a reflash, which did not solve the problem. Then they replaced some module, and that fixed all the...
The Coyote tick, in my opinion, is more erratic. Yours seems to be steady. Sounds more like normal fuel injector sounds to me, but Iām no expert. I got the typewriter tick after my first oil change. I always use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. I added one bottle of Ceratec, and the tick was gone...
I removed the front bumper cover to replace mine. Wasnāt too bad. Plenty of YouTube videos out there to help. I know some people just break off the old emblem, and rely on the 3m adhesive to hold on the new one, but I wanted the clips on mine. The chrome emblem is now a decoration on the front...
I know you said you checked the wiring, but really give a good look at the passenger side harness where it connects to the actuator. They tend to rub against the sharp metal lip, and eventually short out. I had this problem, and I couldnāt actually see the cut until I removed the plug from the...
I had a similar problem with the passenger side window leaving a gap when closed. I went to YouTube and 95% of the videos tell you to clean and lubricate the track. It helped but didnāt solve my problem completely. I found one video where the guy pulled the panel and exposed the bolt that holds...
I have a Steeda H pipe with the factory active exhaust. I would say it added about 20% to the volume, with no drone. I love the way it sounds. A little louder, with some extra rumble. Prepare to use more fuel, as you are going to want to step on the pedal even more! Enjoy!
Had the tick after the dealer did an oil change. Having already read about Ceratec, I went straight to the auto part store, and added a bottle in the parking lot. Two mile drive home, and the tick was gone. Now I put in one bottle with each oil change. Tick has never returned.
I get a squeal here and there as well. Usually goes away after a good stop or two. Stock Brembos in my setup. When itās time to replace, I may go with an aftermarket ceramic pad. Iām willing to sacrifice a little stopping power, as my car is not raced, and will probably never see a track.
I used the Vibrant TC series clamps when I installed my Steeda H pipe. You will be happy with them. They are twice as strong as the ones came with the pipe.
