When online forums can't survive because phone users have the attention span of knats from using facebook, you knew print wasn't gonna make it.
I saw this trend develop back in ah, uhm... what were we talking about? Oh yeah, Facebook yup I changed my status to full right after lunch:like:.

I grew up reading those mag's. I'm surprised that they made it this long. Magazines have been struggling for well over a decade now....just like newspapers. I can't remember the last time I had either in my hands, its been years.

I’ve never understood the whole reading while taking a shit thing. I get it done and get out... who enjoys sitting in the stench?
With "endo" in your screen name, one would assume you would be a little more sympathetic toward someone who's digestive tract doesn't work like Fido's. Anyway, I'm multi-tasking.

I still subscribe to some magazines in print. I always felt as a car guy I should support some car related industries. And a year for $10 isn't much money. A little sad to see them go. It's hard to share a digital subscription like you can share a magazine.

I just started subscribing to Wheel Hub. Similar to some of those other magazines, but better quality and a lot more expensive. I'm still trying to decide whether it's worth it.

It stinks, but it's a sign of the times....

I fondly remember reading a lot of those in the school library as a pre-driving early teen. Sigh.

I'm another that enjoys getting a magazine in the mail. Sad thing is, only one of my favorites that I subscribe to (Automobile) is left. Should really re-sub to Hot Rod, but I let that one slide a few years ago.

I used to hide my Hot Rod behind a composition binder in H.S. study hall in the 60's where that kind of reading material was frowned upon.

What is this world coming to?! Then they try to pawn off Digital/streaming to replace remainder of subscription. End of an era!

I just got an e-mail from TEN publishing about my subscription to MM&FF that I just renewed for 3 years. The gist of the email states they will replace my print sub with a digital sub of Hot Rod, Motortrend or Four Wheeler magazine, my choice, plus 6 months of motortrend on demand. Here it is....

Dear MICHAEL XXXXX,

After many great years and achievements, Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine has been discontinued.

The good news is that in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords 's place, you'll receive the digital edition of your choice of MotorTrend, HOT ROD or Four Wheeler magazine along with six months of the world's premier online automotive streaming service, MotorTrend.

MotorTrend's streaming service bring you over 3,500 hours of the best streaming automotive shows and exclusives series including Roadkill, Dirt Every Day, Diesel Brothers, Top Gear, Fast N' Loud, Bitchin' Rides, Hot Rod Garage, Head 2 Head, Wheeler Dealers, Four Wheeler and so much more, including live motorsports. No cable TV account is necessary and you can watch on your favorite devices.

I need to call them because I also have a print sub to hot rod, and I already have a paid sub for a year of motortrend on demand. Basically their offer means nothing to me, as I already have it so they are giving me nothing but keeping my money. I'm going to request a refund for the remainder of the sub after the final issue.

F Ten publishing they want to replace Ford content with GM biased Ford bashing junk. I won't have anything to do with general Motors Trend.

I agree about GeneralMotorsTrend, and I have no use for 4 wheeler. And why would I want a digital sub to hot rod when I already have a print sub of it.

I suspect I'll get a letter soon regarding my Automobile sub.

Guess Hot Rod will be it, I hate magazines via internet.
